    • I feel Pewdiepie needs to be himself more, in some games. (I.e. The Evil Within)

Some of the most genuine and (personally) loved videos of pewds are The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls and The Walking Dead series. I feel this was because he wasn't constantly cracking jokes or speaking in a silly tone that messed with the atmosphere. A quip here and there can be hilarious, but when it goes on for minutes, it feels forced and reduces the viewers urge to empathize.

In a game like The Evil Within, half the fun comes from seeing your reactions and hearing your serious thoughts about the game, as you really get into it. Its one of the reasons i've rewatched your The Last of Us play-through multiple times.

I hope i'm not the only one to think so. By all means be silly, but vary it for more serious games, Pewds. Especially for atmospheric games. Show both sides as you used to because those are the videos that are the most memorable.

    • Honestly, I think Pewds has been more himself than ever now that he's been playing games he wants to play, not just games the mass majority wants to watch YouTubers do play-throughs of. He's also been a lot happier and a lot more like himself ever since he turned of the comments to his videos.
He seems a lot more relaxed, he seems like he's having more fun and he's enjoying life more, enjoying his job more. It seems like he's less stressed out, less preoccupied...

And the thing is, Felix IS silly.
You're asking him NOT to be himself by asking him to be more serious for serious games-- it's not his thing. And not to drive you away from watching Pewds, but there are going to be times where you're just going to have to look elsewhere for the reactions you want.

Not to be "that guy" but if you look at his videos he has of him starting out on YouTube he also seemed to have a more calm attitude, not to say people don't change but he has a calm side to him, which we all prefer to watch Felix for our own reasons, me personally preferring his more calm side but still fine with him, overall.Overall, the point i'm trying to make is "serious" isn't the correct word as it should be replaced with "calm."

      It's all a conspiracy.
    • he did say he was "calmer" during his first few videos because he felt shy and awkward.

i think as opposed to Last of Us and Walking Dead, he talks more in The Evil Within because there are fewer dialogues. in the two previously mentioned games, the characters are constantly talking. where in TEW there's more slow stealthy moments that he feels he needs to fill to be able to hold the audiences' attention.

content creation and broadcasting it does need a little more amplified version of your personality to be able to hold an audience.

"so it's impossible? good. if memory serves, we've done the impossible before"
    • I feel that Pewds is being himself. Just because he's not as serious in some series doesn't mean that he's not himself. There would be no reason to fake it, or at least I would think so. He was more calm in some series because he's more immersed in the game and story line.

But hey, no one really knows. We don't know what he's really thinking. But I don't think we should assume. After all, YouTube, when it become your full time job, can be stressful. Just imagine having an awful day but having to record a video. In the beginning I feel like he was more shy because of course when you start out you'd feel weird not having an audience to talk to and talking to a camera, lol. But overtime he started to open up more.

We only see most of the silly part now, and when it comes time to see videos like the Broken pod casts, we see a more serious side of him. It just depends on how he's feeling, what he's playing, etc. Everyone has a silly side, doesn't mean they can never be serious, and everyone has a serious side, doesn't mean you can never crack a joke. We can't expect him to act a certain way all the time.
    • He even mentioned before that he didn't like how other Youtubers make horror game funny by joking all the time and that they must "get into" the game. I totally agree with you, i mean he's still funny and maybe he does feel the stress and the intensity while playing it, but i personnaly don't.
and remember guys it's not called being gay, it's called being FABULOUUS :brofist:
