    • Why having conversations on the internet is entertaining

      Talking to people over the internet has always been a big thing to me. For some reason, people online seem a lot nicer and open minded than their offline counterparts. It's also a lot easier to share an embarrassing secret with someone you do not actually know online than telling it to people face to face irl (at least in my opinion)
      What are your thoughts about online chatting? Do you agree/disagree with my statements?

      On somewhat of a side-note: It also sounds so hillarious when people have serious conversations online, like" Yeah, I totally agree with xActionShooter972737x" or "What do you think, DragonSlayerr_97?"

    • I agree with you, having conversations online is so much more fun and easy. You can seek out those with similar interests and instantly start up conversations with them so very easily, something you cannot do with people in person. A lot of people can be nicer, but then again, a lot of people online may say horrible things to you that they wouldn't dream of doing in person. But all in all, I find online conversations/interactions very rewarding. ^^

    • I'll start off by saying that everyone is different, that that some of us are very much like our online parts while some are very different. The only big difference that I take a looooot longer to warm up to 'actual' people :P

      It's easy because we don't see faces, bodies, skins, blemishes, imperfections, we don't smell anything [yes that really does impact a lot more than you think, whether you realize this or not. :P] We just see the person and their personality, and to me-the most pure form of the personality that we can reach because we are not hiding in our hoodies or corners, behind books or laptops or phones. We are just here, and especially here where we have at least one common interest... :P :brofist: A lot of us may have disabilities, be it mental or physical so, many times, the online world is the only one where we can genuinely find some kind of escape. So when we are nomadding the online plains and find someone of like-minded interest, naturally we will flock to talk about things and explore those facets. It's awesome, there is something for everyone and to each their own.

    • The internet is so diverse it's easy to find people to chat with who share interests or subject matters people in real life don't want to talk about, because it might seem "weird" or whatever. I like "weird" things, like paranormal or philosophical things, I don't know why but that's considered "weird" by people I know IRL. *shrugs*

      I also think people are more open to talking about whatever random weirdness is in their heads online that they wouldn't normally let out in day to day life. And that's good, and it's also good that unless anyone specifically states the information we don't know anyones age, gender, race, looks - all those superficial things people can get judged for in life - so we just take people on the quality of their personalities, which is how it should be anyway imo.

      Although... I'm so cripplingly shy even online it's hard sometimes. If I don't talk back sometimes it's not because I'm being a douche, I'm just having a major shy moment and can't.

      The people who just want to indulge their spiteful side can all get blocked though.

      I pretty much agree with every aspect of that post. I also agree with the fact that it can sometimes be hard to talk even online. I used to be very shy on sites like this (I still am sometimes) but doing it regularly has made it easier and easier.
      And don't worry, I'm not going to think you're a douche :P

      The fact that it's just A"raw personality" online could very well be one of the biggest factors to why it's so easy to connect online.
      The internet is also a lot more "well organised" making it easier to find people with those common interests you mentioned.

      I think the reason to why people dare to say nicer/meaner things here is because it's so easy to "get away" with it. With just a click you can close this page, and you never ever have to speak with anyone of these people again.
