    • Weird Dreams (Commodore 64/Amiga Game)

I couldn't find this in the suggestions list, so here you go!

Game Genre: (2D) Horror Adventure game with bizarre twists

      Back Story (from Game Manual):
"Steve is in love with his attractive coworker Emily. Unbeknownst to Steve, Emily is possessed by a daemon named Zelloripus who was banished to Earth, stripped of most of her powers, and trapped into a human female due to unspecified crimes done to other daemons.

Emily sees a chance to let someone else suffer and stifle her boredom. She tricks Steve to take three pills she has mixed to "cure his flu". While the pills do cure him, they also grant Zelloripus access to his body and mind.

His dreams become both more lucid and strange, each one getting more intense and painful. Steve's psychiatrist does not understand what causes the dreams, and neither does Steve. He refers him to a neurosurgeon. After his health dramatically declines, Steve undertakes brain surgery in an attempt to stop the dreams. Under an anaesthetic, he slips into one more dream, possibly his last."

      General Other Points:
      • It's a very dark game, that may appeal to a dark sense of humour as well.
      • You have to solve puzzles to get passed certain obstacles, if you don't... you'll die.
      • The game is for the Commodore 64/Amiga/MS-DOS.
      • The music is very odd, and the game play is so bizarre - I'd love to hear your comments on it.
      • Relatively short game, but in the original you can't save - if you screw up you have to start from the beginning.

      Gameplay Footage:

      Where to buy it:
      • I believe there are copies on e-bay for about £15, the game is out of production!
      • In terms of emulators, you'd need to find an emulator (preferably with a save state feature) with the Weird Dreams ROM.
      • I'm not entirely sure where to get this from so if any other bros can help me out that'd be awesome.

It's a long shot that he'd play it, but I really loved this game and I think it'd provide an interesting commentary so... yeah, worth a shot. <3
