How to crop video?

I made a new thread for this because the last one wasn't clear enough (Sorry :D). So I have 16:9 facecam, but I want it to be something like a box by deleting little parts on both sides. Sooo, how do I crop the video, to make the black things disappear? (Look at the picture (I put a scribblenauts picture instead of facecam))

you wont get the black boxes with a facecam video btw, if you just zoom out and drag it to the corner

if your recording has those black sides, zoom in to get them away, render the video, put it over your gameplay pan/crop it to the right size, set presets to 16:9 drag it to the corner. solved?

I'm no expert with vegas, but try using the video crop and zoom in till you have the view you want, this video may help you:
