I agree with what alot of othher people are saying, be unique and that will draw the attention of others who are looking for something different. I however just do it for fun

In my videos on Youtube, I dont do Commentary because of my Computer and shit... but I still love making videos because its fun. =)

I think an important factor is that the youtuber is having fun while playing the game. You shouldn't play a game just because you get alot of views.

First and foremost, you have to be amusing to watch. I think this is the single most important thing. People who are naturally a bit of a character will do well. Then, a lack of technical issues. No one's going to watch if you're so quiet they can't hear you. And I think at least a little interaction with the people who watch you. It keeps their interest.

Agree, and this goes along with other ideas here to be amusing you must be pretty original.. Also yea love when any major (sometimes even minor) youtuber does a livestream, competition something of the sort

You need to be awesome lol, and ahve a wide knowledge of a variety of video game genres
