    • Did anyone here about the NSA PRISM software leak?

Yeah, it was a rather large collection of NSA tools, they were codenamed PRISM - apparently the leak contained engines and custom ciphers; not 100% sure, I'll look into it more.
      Thoughts?

    • I didn't hear of this thing before but I researched it a bit.

From what I understood, a guy leaked some documents regarding a software's activity (PRISM) that was basically a secret surveillance software used by NSA. What's interesting is that NSA could legally require data from companies such as Google, Yahoo, Facebook etc. so they could obtain any information they wanted to.

Anyway, it's not something new or surprising at all, at least for me. I believe everything you do on the Internet is (or could be) seen by many people if they would want/need to. There is no privacy on the Internet, it's just a sort of 'illusion'. We should've got used to it by now :(

The internet being monitored is an excuse for the NSA to watch people fapping.

Nah, even if they are looking for terrorists and whatnot, I doubt they would be able to operate a computer or any other likewise electronic to the extent where they can do damage via hacking. Sure, there's the hackers, which are usually referred as terrorists, but that's just unrelated. Hackers should be caught manually, not using OP as fuck methods to do it. I don't live in the US though, so it's somewhat good, unless this government monitor everything that is sent online, which is a high-probability.

    • Public opinion doesn't influence governement anymore.

In the end, political opinions and ideologies are all non-independant bandwagons for people to hop on.

All citizens in the capitalist world are nothing more than labouring proleteriat mindslaves.

Thanks to the industrial age and technological age, privacy/online privacy is no longer a privallege but a joke thanks to the extent of government control.

A Large Majority of Media Icons, cultarists, politicians and heads of state as well as idols in culture are nothing more than figureheads and pawns to allow the creation of fixed context to be implanted.

The media are now nothing more than brainwashing vindictive leeches who feed as well as falsifiy/twist information to be absorbed by the general public.

Truths are becoming lies and vice versa.

      tl;dr
The world is no longer what it used to be thamks to human advancements, so the leaks are no surprise to me.
