I think he uses camcorder to record the facecam and just crops it editing software afterwards for the video.

He uses a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam, as said here: FAQ (Technical Stuff).
He's using the software got from the Logitech webcam to record it and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit it afterwards.
From personal experience, I use a Logitech webcam as well, but instead of using Premiere Pro, I use Cyberlink PowerDirector 11, which I highly recommend as it's extremely easy to use. An altenative for you could be Sony Movie Studio, which I've also tried in the past.
Good luck! -
He used to use just Windows Movie Make, which I don't suggest if you don't have really great camera.

Not any longer, he uses a real camera to record himself (the reason for the great facecam quality).
<--- Oh, you hate me son?

This indeed. In one of his videos, you can see the camera actually lying on top of a stack of books, haha.Fast speaking Dutchman who enjoys talking to his computer screen in an
attempt to entertain people. Slightly insane, completely awesome.
If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
Keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Oh, really? Didn't know that
I saw the quality changed but I didn't think about that. -

Its really simple if you have the logitech recorder that comes with all logitech cameras. You record, have a little space at the front and the end of the video then take it into your editing program (every program I've used works!) and adjust it to fit your needs!
I hope this makes sense!
