Okay I saw this on a website and I was thinking to myself "Why would Nintendo do this?!" Because isn't the whole point of the DS to be able to fold up and fit in a pocket of sorts? It maybe good for younger kids, but what about those who grew up with the Original folding DS? What is Your view on it?
What do you guys think of the new Nintendo 2DS?

If was just a cheaper 3DS without the 3D function (i.e. if you could just fold it up), I would actually have considered buying it. I want to play 3DS games but I can't be arsed with the cost of a 3DS.
Now.. the 2DS pretty darn useless if you ask me. It's far too big for comfort.Fast speaking Dutchman who enjoys talking to his computer screen in an
attempt to entertain people. Slightly insane, completely awesome.
If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
Keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

I can kinda see why they have made it, but I much prefer the 3DS with the option to turn 3D off. I'm guessing these will be the same price really so you might get more with the 3DS than the 2DS aswell, not mentioning the size of it...

It's a 3DS. Without the 3D. So a DS. But without the hinge, without the slim frame and without the 'modern' body colours. ... It's a gameboy colour with touchscreen...
And i heard it's not that much cheaper either... You might as well get the real thing and turn it off... I personally thought it was a joke at first... But i get it, it's 'for the (wallets of the parents of) children'...It's pronounced 'curl', like curly hair. Yup. -
it's because parents need to fucking go to the opticians because apparently they can't turn off the 3D in parental controls and they can't see the ridiculously easy to notice switch on the side which has a LABEL saying "3D".
nintendo just wants to make more money, and it's incredibly uncomfortable to use. definitely won't be buying it.
