      It's NOT an addon , It is a map (and has the extension .bsp). and it has some LUA script in it (which can be enabled with using the garrysmod.fgd to map) which allows custom viewmodels.

      well you put the whole folder in addons the only folder that doesnt go inside it is the scripts folder you put that in /garrysmod/garrysmod/scripts

      gm_apartment IS an addon of garry's mod, it's a folder with a lot of files and subdirectories, including : a map (bsp) , lua files for the coding part, particles, models and materials. An addon. Like... every other addon of garrysmod.
      For the install, you just have to drag and drop the folder in the addons/ one, and that's it. No other manipulation needed. Like 99% of the addons of gmod. Why are you two talking about fgd, pakrat or a scripts folder ?

      I've played it and it's great, but

      it contains no jumpscare, no monster, and only rely on creepy sounds while you search for keys and puzzles. But mainly keys. Also contains a 10 minutes-length outro which is just a big scrolling text.
