  • Will it do the trick?[PC help]

    Hello, my name is Acon and I have some simple questions that I whish someone can answer.

    I am planning to start a YouTube channel but for that I need a new computer because the one I have know can barely play Minecraft, worth to mention is that I have a rather limited budget. I have looked around about buying a PC and I have found a pretty tempting computer with these specs :

    Motherboard - MSI Z87-G45 Gaming, Socket-1150
    Processor - Intel Core i5-4670K
    Cpu Cooling - Cooler Master Seidon 240M
    Memory - Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 16GB KIT
    Graphics - Gainward GeForce GTX 770 2GB PhysX CUDA
    Hard Drive - Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB 2.5" OEM
    Case - Cooler Master HAF X Nvidia Edition
    Power Supply - XFX ProSeries Core Edition 850W PSU
    This is really as far as I can go(budget-wise) so I'm asking you, will this do for a couple years ahead? Can it run all games at decent graphic and also record? I really don't want to buy something I will regret, especially not something this exspensive.
    Also which recording software do you recommend for this computer?
    I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong section but I figured this would fit here.
  • Yeah that computer set up works just fine for recording years to come, keep in mind you dont have to always have everything turned to max while recording. If you wanna play safe check if the motherboard is something you can possibly upgrade with new prorcessor etc, later down the line without getting entirely new computer.
    Make sure to get other hard drives too than 120gb SSD, (normal work just fine) otherwise you'll run out of space instantly when recording.

    All the usual fraps, banditcam, dxtory work, personal preferense.
  • An i5 processor isn't exactly up-to-date, but it's kinda okay.

    Graphics card is definitely good, I think.

    120GB Hard Drive is pretty small... If you're planning on downloading lots of modern games AND recording with programs like Fraps, then it's pretty likely you're gonna need a lot more. 1 TB should be good enough.

    colonel, we managed to avoid drowning!
  • your pc is pretty good for playing all kind of games, you can play full HD but try no to max it out, lower the AA, AF and don't you dare to turn on VS and TB if it is for benchmarking or recording

    *AA = Anti Aliasing
    AF = Anisotropic Sample or Anisotropic Filtering
    TB = Triple Buffering
    VB = Vertial Sync

    The TB only works if the VB is on
