  • "Whoever said he ever needed to find out? He likely has better things to do than spy on you." Kiha gave the blademaster another odd look. "Good, then we're in agreement."
Upon hearing him offer a rematch, she lifted up the keg and took another huge swig. To be honest, the sight was quite astonishing. "Very well, I've been waiting for the chance to embarrass you." The dragonkin then stood, making for the door.

"That keg better be there when I get back!" She yelled to the bar in general before stepping outside. Once out in the fresh air, she took a deep breath, stretched a bit, and finally took out her blade, giving it a few flashy practice swings as she waited for Yuushio.

  • Yuushio sighed. "The guy's my best friend. He is probably watching right now so he has a reason to give me crap."

He followed Kiha out and extended his scythe, standing immediately at the ready, not needing practice swings for a weapon he had forged with his own hands. "Ladies first, Kiha." He smiled and crouched, reversing the scythe so the pole ran along the back of his arm and his shoulders.
  • Kiha just stared at the blademaster, her expression never changing for an instant. She held the blade out, pointing it towards the blademaster. It glowed red for a second before bursting into flames as usual.
What wasn't usual was for the dragonkin to suddenly charge, going from 0 to who knows how fast in no time at all, just to strike Yuushio in the gut with her free hand and kick him away.

  • Yuushio allowed his body to flow with the strikes, reducing the impact, then landed on his feet softly and elegantly. "Not bad at all. Don't burn out on me too quickly!" He brought his scythe into his hands and launched a ground based Shockwave at her. "Demon Fang!" He then followed up with an aerial blast of energy. "Azure Edge!" He then sunk into the earth and reappeared to her side. "Grave Fang!" He slammed his scythe blade down, sending up a flurry of stones imbued with battle energy.
  • [OOC: Here's a battle theme.]

The dragonkin watched the projectiles approach with what looked like boredom. Seconds before impact, she held a hand over her heart. "Iron flesh." She said. The projectiles and shockwaves bounced off and impacted ineffectually against her scales, which had now taken on a dull metallic grey color.

She allowed a few seconds to pass, reverting her body back to it's original form. "Don't you know? Dragon scales are tough, and certain techniques only make them stronger. Try again."

  • Kiha briefly stumbled forward, and received the strike to her chest, but between her scales and the breastplate she wore, it had minimal effect. Before he could back off, she had grabbed Yuushio's scythe directly below the head and yanked it towards her, an attempt to bring him in so she could perform a brutal headbutt.

  • He allowed her to, adding more momentum by yanking his end and then protecting his head from damage with concentrated battle energy. After less than a second....
    THWACK!
Their heads collided, and Kiha would feel a surge of memories enter her, not hers, but those of Yuushio. A boy having to grow up alone, in a forest. A twelve year old, clearing weeds with a scythe. A thirteen year old killing a man with that same scythe, then a gap in his memories, up until Kiha saw herself filling her vision and felt the impact a second time.

Yuushio backed up to get some distance, and shook his head to clear it, then was at the ready once more.
  • There was one little issue with Yuushio allowing himself to butt heads with the dragonkin. She wore a helmet. Well, it could barely be called such, but served the purpose of protecting at least the forehead from damage.

At the moment of impact, Kiha wasn't the only one on the receiving end of this odd memory surge. Several images, not memories exactly, had flashed before the blademaster. A tiny girl living with her family in a small village in the mountains. A teenager, smacking training dummies with a wooden blade. A blushing male dragonkin giving her a ring. A wedding, destroyed by succubi, the guests dishonored before being murdered. The male dragon's lifeless eyes. Mutilated demon corpses strewn all over the place. The village burning to the ground. A small demon boy trying to fend her off with a stick... That was the last image there was before they ceased.

Kiha pulled away, and shook her head at the same time the blademaster had, though more likely to recover from the disorientation of a dozen or more memories flashing before her.
Growling, she then lunged, grabbing Yuushio by the shirt, but did nothing more than that. "What. Did. You. Do?!"

  • Yuushio saw these memories and held them in reserve. As he was grabbed, he reflexively brought the scythe up, then made himself stop just inches from her neck. "I'm not sure what happened either, Kiha. All I know is that I have several memories that are not my own." He seemed to be heavier than he looked, unable to be lifted, as if she were trying to lift the entire planet. "Maybe spirits had something to do with it? I honestly don't know. Magic isn't my forte, but I know of nothing that can force memories into someone else."
  • Kiha was not happy with that explanation. At all. Growling, she brought a leg up and kicked Yuushio in the chest. As the blademaster was apparently immoveable at the time, it resulted in launching her away. Flipping over once, she landed a few meters away from him, skidding a few inches on the ground.

"Even if you didn't mean it, you still saw." She said. Running a hand across her sword, the flames vanished. For an instant, it seemed she was about to cease combat.
That's when she raised the blade, pointing it skyward. A large crack similar to thunder was heard as her blade lit up, not with fire, but with lightning. Arcs of electricity run up and down the blade, showing that it was imbued with the power of lightning.

"Let's kick it up a notch, why don't we..." She said, actually allowing herself to smirk.

  • Yuushio sighed and readied his scythe. "Very well. But you may not like me when I get serious." Suddenly, his aura completely changed. Before, it was complex, a tempest of thoughts and emotions. Now, he gave off an air of a single intent. To destroy those that stood against him. The air seemed thick with his aura, as though breathing through honey or molasses. He then vanished, only to reappear behind Kiha, yet a crushing impact would be felt on her stomach. "As for me seeing your past, you saw mine just as clearly."
  • The impact left Kiha breathless, even with scales and armor to absorb the blow. She coughed once. "You saw more of me than I saw of you..." She said before whirling around to deliver a backhanded strike with her free arm.
"I don't give a rat's ass who saw what at this point. I want to beat you down, and that's that! I trained day and night for this moment, and I'm not stopping for a freak accident!" Her sword shined blue for a fraction of a second as she lunged with unbelievable speed, using her energy to propel herself as she made for a thrusting attack.

  • OOC: Sorry, Death. Missed your post.

Celsius shook her head against Icy's chest and slowly began to embrace him. After a moment, she was hugging him gently. "Kytozaki-kun...."

Yuushio saw her attack coming and brought the pole of his scythe to the side of her neck, knocking her aside. "First you'll have to hit me, Kiha." He whipped his body around and slammed his foot into her back, shoving her forward. "You're no match for me, Kiha. Dragonkin or no." He broke his scythe into several segments, turning it into a blade ended whip, which lashed out around Kiha's leg and yanked her into the air, then slammed her down into the ground.
  • He didn't look at sefie, but did speak. "Listen, that guy that got kicked out earlier? Turns out that there is a LOT more to him than I thought... Now, If you see that phial, even if I see it, TAKE IT AND HIDE IT.I don't know what Lazarius (the guy that got kicked out) is planning next, but he has been quiet recently... By now he would usually be annoying me to wits end, but he has gone silent.... Be careful, I wouldn't want you getting hurt." Reaching the courtyard, there was next to no changes to the area... except for a small burn on a rock. Plague began to scrutinize it, before realizing that it formed a small trail. He was walking slowly now, analyzing every part of burnt area, following an extremely odd trail.
    WHAT HAVE I DONE

  • Sefie nodded. "Gotcha." She closed her eyes and two small specks of light flew out of Plague's room. "I'll stay with you, though. Yutis and Fairess can find that phial. I'll protect you, though." She smiled at Plague gently.

Celsius blushed and looked up into Icy's eyes, then.sighed and pushed away from him. "I'm sorry. I let my emotions get ahead of me. But, I want you to know that we could never be together... As a couple...." She shook her head and looked at him, blinking back tears.
  • "Oh yeah...sorry..." Icy said rubbing his neck. That's when his mind finally caught up on the situation, after focusing on if it was either a trap or not. His face turned red again and looked to the ground. "oh my gawd what happened how did I not notice that I was thinking more trap then what was actually going on!" He nodded his head. "I-I-I-I a-a-appoligize, I-I d-didn't" "Your making it worse on yourself you idiot!!"

  • Kiha took the attacks like it was nothing, simply standing and brushing herself off. No matter what, she just kept getting back up.
"...You really think that? Never underestimate, Blademaster, it leads to unpleasant surprises." Just as she said that, her entire stance changed.

The lightning vanished from her blade, and she closed her eyes. One could possibly think she was meditating.
"I will defeat you, one way or another." The dragonkin said calmly. "You know as well as I do that I won't rest until it happens."

The odd swaying motion she was making did not seem too threatening at first, but it was quite clear that it had some kind of effect on her. Whatever it was, though...
