  • S: Smiles at Tristam and hugs him tightly, leaning her head next to his, so that her breath drifts across his ear.
    "Tristam.... I.... I want you.
I love you so very much, and I want you."
Her breathing and heartbeat grew faster as her face flushed, nervous for his response.

Y: Lets his scythe blade rest on the girl's shoulder, holding her in place.
"Tell you what. I'm feeling a bit tired, exhausted, and short on patience, but I'll cut you a deal.
Tell me what you know, or I will dismember you. Leave you incapable of moving, speaking, blinking, but keep you alive.
I am fully capable of that."
As if his words were heard by the plants, vines began crawling on the walls.
"These vines can replace your blood vessels, keeping you alive and nourished, not letting you die."
He gave her a sadistic smirk.
    "So? What's your choice?"
  • "Headmaster! Are you saying that you are going to kill the magician?" April looks shocked. "Torturing people for information is horrible. I'm not allowing you to do that, because it's against the---"
    The kitsune is silent.
"We've got an unexpected guest, I see. Come on out. I know you're there."
A rustle was heard, then a shadow jumped over the crowd and lands. It was a blue-haired neko ((see avatar)). He grins, making his large teeth visible. "Heh. I thought you'd hear me earlier. Pfft. I don't even care." April's face goes from neutral to a smile.
    "Hi, Cress. "
  • The tiny magician's eyes widened at the threat, her mouth agape in shock. However, that only lasted for a brief second before her expression turned to stone, and stared at Yuushio coldly.
She wasn't the only one to have such a bad reaction, though, as a few of the beastfolk, Rye, Tanis, and the Kria doll, stared at the blademaster disbelievingly.

He's not serious...? Is he? Was the thought running through their head.

"If you are going to threaten me, then I wish to speak to someone else." Said Beatrice.
"I do not appreciate promises of torture, it reminds me just a tad too much of him for my liking. And you can't give me the "I'm exhausted" excuse when you've done next to nothing. You have three choices. 1, either you can be civil, 2; you can let Undine or someone else speak, YES I know the water spirit is with you, or 3; I simply leave right now and leave you to a wild goose chase until the end of the world comes around. True, I could threaten to tear out your lungs and feed them to you, but that would just bring me down to your level."

With a wave of the hand, the magician had summoned up what looked to be a floating chair, and promptly let herself rest on it.
"What's it going to be, blademaster? Are you incapable of simply asking nicely, magic word and all? The world isn't ending too soon, I'll have you know."

    ------------------------------

Huh, this reminds me of that other time where... She... Oh boy...
Don't look at me, I'm not bailing you out this time. On the bright side, she probably isn't going to ask again quite yet. Probably. Hey, don't give me that face, females are always unpredictable.

It took the half-demon a few seconds to form the exact words he wanted to say.
"You know I love ya too..." Still sounds a littl weird coming out of my mouth. Oh well. "Though, I am curious. What exactly is this conversation supposed to lead to?"

You know, most people call me insane...
That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

Why are you looking at me like that?

  • S: Blushing furiously, she fidgets and mumbles, barely audible.
"T-Tristam. Please don't make me say it......"
Her heart was beating faster and faster.

Y: Though he was angered by the girl's response, he put away his scythe and let the two young ones up.
"Very well. Now, if you could tell us of this dagger, it would be greatly appreciated."
There was still a hint of venom in his voice, enough to let Beatrice know he would play along, but this was as far as he would take it.
  • "Oh?" The tiny magician said mockingly. "I'm afraid you didn't say the magic word. Too bad. Try again."
A few tense seconds had passed, filled with many glares.
"Fine, then! That will have to do."

Beatrice leaned back in the floating chair, sighing.
"The devil's arms, once belonging to a mighty warrior now sealed, are being gathered in preparation for a ritual to bring back said mighty warrior. He's already regained enough of a grasp on reality to influence the world outside of his seal. He wants these weapons, of course."

"Of course, that's the short of it. The long version would be enough to write a novel. Now, that dagger there in the stone ball, that's one of the devil's arms. If you don't want a pissed off man ready to blow up the earth at your doorstep, you need to break it. I'm serious, smash it to pieces, or else it can and will be used against you. If that wasn't enough, the weapons themselves are a threat. They have an incredibly corrupting influence on their wielders, and with the power just one can give, it would be a catastrophe. And that's not even mentioning the fact that they grow even stronger with the more blood they spill. If you care for this earth at all, you must destroy them all before they become a threat."

It was a decent enough explanation, at least, but there was no way of telling how much of it was true.
"Oh, and take this." Beatrice said, pulling a red gemstone out of her bag and tossing it towards Rye, who caught it easily.

"I have no use for her anymore, Nor the doll. My work here is finished, there's nothing else that can be said."
She then pulled something else out of her bag, something that looked like an odd white bone fragment, most of it reduced to ash.

"Now, if there is nothing else to discuss, I shall be taking my leave right about now."

    ----------------------------------

Yup, we're back to this again...

Tristam only sighed. "Well then, if you put it like that... But, we should clo-"
"Thought I'd find you back here!"

The half-demon froze up, turning his head to see a familiar nine-tailed kitsune heading their way.
"Thought I'd forgotten about you hijacking a room did ya?! Well, too bad, you're coming with me, demon boy!"

The next thing he knew, he was torn away from Sahrah and being dragged away by the arms, Sylvia's surprisingly strong tails doing a wonderful job at keeping him from getting away.
"You'll be lucky if I let you off sometime this month!" She said over Tristam's, and most likely Sahrah's protests. "Be thankful I'm not forcing your girlfriend to wash dishes as well!"

You know, most people call me insane...
That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

  • S: blushes and looks down and away, following the two meekly, a bit disappointed that they had been interrupted.

    Y: nods.
"I see. You are free to leave."
He closes his eyes after she leaves.
"She told the truth. There is no doubt nor reason to doubt her words."
His eyes open and he focuses on the ball of stone.
"These devil's arms must be destroyed, then!"
He points his hand at the ball of stone, and a sound eerily similar to one of breaking glass is heard, then the ball turns to dust, letting the remains of the weapon fall with them.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Abyssion's smile widened as he felt one of his weapons destroyed.
What no one else knew, however, was that Fafnir's essence, its energy, flew into one of the locks on Abyssion's prison, freeing his fingers.
  • "Splendid. I do hope you make the right decision, though..."
Immediately, Beatrice crushed the bone in her hand to a fine white powder. The act of doing this apparently had some teleportation effect, as she quickly disappeared.

What Yuushio would not know, was that she was currently smirking.
Heh... Didn't even have to answer to those animals, and still managed to turn it all to my advantage. Probably my finest escape yet.

    ------------------

The minute Sahrah decided to follow Tristam and Sylvia, she felt a hand on her shoulder stopping her.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Said the voice of the kitsune Finnian. "She gets pretty unpleasant in cases like this."

You know, most people call me insane...
That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

  • S: Looks at Finnian with pleading eyes.
"B-but I...... But she......... But we........"

    Abyssion: speaks into Beatrice's mind.
"Very good, Beatrice. Very good indeed.
You indeed were always one of my most faithful servants."
A sharp, constant pain begins coursing through her entire body.
"However, you have outlived your usefulness!"
  • "I know. It's quite unfortunate, but this is the writer's way of avoiding a sex scene."
    The kitsune shook his head.
"Sorry, I sometimes say the oddest things. Pay me no mind."

    -----------------------

The tiny magician gave a gasp, falling to her knees.
    W-why?! I don't understand!

It only took her a second to regain her senses. And, gritting her teeth, she managed to stand with some difficulty, and began rummagin through her bag.
You... You bastard! I thought you knew better than to kill servants at random, but It seems that I was wrong!
Beatrice's hand grasped a small, white gemstone. She had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but she had no choice.

    Good-bye, and good riddance!
She crushed the stone, and it exploded in a flash of white light, throwing her back. She flew for several feet before striking something, a tree, and slowly turning unconscious.

Not like the Time Render would know that. All he felt from her was a dark aura that abruptly died down. It would be quite easy to assume she'd preferred dying by her own hand rather than his.

    ---------------------

"You're sure?" Asked the Kria doll. "I mean, she's not exactly- And you already broke it."

Rye, on the other hand, seemed entirely unconcerned about the breaking of the dagger, staring at the red stone in his hand.
And the intelligence general stared right back. Or, rather, she glared.

How the real Kria was shrunk down so far, and imprisoned in a red stone, nobody knew, but she herself did not look at all happy about her predicament.

You know, most people call me insane...

  • S: Looks down and away, blushing heavily.
    "Ah. Okay. I understand."
She was disappointed, to say the least.

    Y: Walks up to Rye.
    "May I see her?
Earth and magic are two of my specialties, after all."

Abyssion: Smiles as he feels Beatrice's life force wink out of existence.
"There. Only eight more Arms to go."
  • "Ah, then there's that look." The Kitsune then sighed, before giving the Sahrah a pleasant smile.
"Tell you what, while Sylvia's got your boy occupied, what do you say to a meal? Free of charge until she gets back. It's the least I can do."

    *Meanwhile...*

"Oh, C'mon! I can't be stuck here for a month! I have training and other stuff to do! Teach would KILL me if she thought I was-"
"Quiet, you. And don't worry, I'm not enslaving you quite yet."

Tristam squirmed uncomfortably. "Did you have to say it like that?"
Sylvia just shrugged. "Doesn't matter. If you wanna make that demon-guy Abe or whatever happy, I've figured out a good place for one of those weapons to hide. Way I see it, he'd murder us in our sleep if we passed up this opportunity."

Just the mention of the Time Render caused the half-demon to growl. "Damn it, and we were having such a good day before he showed up..."
"I know. But shit happens. Now here's the short part. You, go to beastfolk city of Ishpa, steal a big evil weapon. Why? Ishpa is in chaos right now, something about a disease. Before then, it was a grand kingdom, where crime was virtually non-existent, and law and order prevailed over all else. The beasts are also prudes, but that doesn't really matter. This is the best chance you're going to get, blademaster Yuushio has already gone to deal with the disease or whatever it is. You don't have much time left."

Tristam sighed. "That's great and all, but-"
"Your armor's already here. You must not be recognized while you do this, especially not by the blademaster. In fact, it's probably best if you avoid contact altogether."
    "Aw man, a stealth mission?"

The nine-tail ignored his complaint, shoving a glowing bracelet into his hands. "You know how these things work. This one will take us straight to the castle and back."
    "Wait... Us?"
Sylvia just grinned. "Of course! You're a warrior, you can't sense magic like I can. Oh, and don't worry about me, I'm a master of disguise."

    The half-demon stared skeptically.

    ------------------------------------

A certain magician's eyes slowly opened, just barely conscious enough to do that. Her vision was blurred, and there was no telling what she was hallucinating.
For example, there's no way that red-haired dragon woman could be real. Right?

Oh, that's nice... She thought before passing out again. Just before doing so, she felt herself being lifted up over someone's shoulder.

    -------------------------------------

The wolf looked at Yuushio with a hopeful look in his eyes.
"You can free her, right? She'll be back to normal?"

He then nodded, handing over the gemstone.
"Just do what you can. And be careful about it, she's no doubt much more fragile like this."

You know, most people call me insane...

  • Y: Nods at the general.
"I should be able to. Imprisonment magic is relatively easy to break out of.
I just need to be able to concentrate and focus, so please give me silence."
He closed his eyes and let earth magic flow into him, through him, and form a needle of magic.
Using this, he began looking all over the gemstone, searching the threads of magic that made it up, looking for.....
    "Aha."
There it was. A small hole in the web of magic. He gently pushed the needle through, only to find another layer, which he began searching as well.
This process continues for about fifteen minutes, until........
Suddenly, the gemstone shatters violently, leaving behind a silver-colored cocoon of magic that contained Kria within it.
"Before you ask, all I did was penetrate the magical prison, then replace it with an exact copy, this one under my control.
    Now the easy part."
The cocoon begins expanding, and Kria along with it, until she is back to her normal size, at which point the cocoon melts around her, leaving her with an silver coating, unseeable to anyone's eyes, but granting resistance to magic, and immunity to imprisonment magic.
"There you go. How are you feeling, Kria?"

S: Nods at Finnian, following him downstairs.
  • OOC: Rye's not a general. You're probably thinking of Arratay, who is.

IC: The intelligence general stared coldly at her rescuer.
"How am I feeling? Perfectly fine other than being just a bit absolutely livid. Why you let her go after all she's done, I have no clue. I just hope for your sake it wasn't a fatal error in judgement."

Immediately, Kria's attention was brought to two unfamiliar persons, a kitsune and a half-beast(?). "Question. Those two would be...?"
Right then was also the point she'd noticed the doll-like version of herself. "And what the hell would that thing be?"

    --------------------------

In response, Finnian gave a short bow to the Lamia, before turning and heading down to the restaurant area of the building, leading Sahrah to a vacant seat next to a window.
The place was noticably deserted, with very few people customers visible.

Wasting no time, the kitsune had already handed Sahrah a menu. There was quite a variety of different choices, as she would most likely notice.
"Anything you want, you'll get. If it's not on the menu, though. I'll try to make it myself."

    --------------------------

With a bright blue flash of light, two figures materialized in front of the cates of the castle of Ishpa. A young man in black armor (ooc: In case you've forgotten what it looks like, It's now on my character sheet on the first page.), and a human(?), dark-haired woman, wearing the cloak that was common for a rogue witch.

"Alright, we gotta be quick, here." Said the witch(?). "Downside to the bracelets is they're not subtle in the slightest. We've got two likely places, the treasury, or the intelligence general's office. I'll take the treasury-"
The armored man glared at his partner. "Oh, don't give me that look, I'm not stealing anything 'cept what we need. As I was saying, I'll take the treasury, you search the office. If it's there, you probably can't miss it without being blind."

The warrior nodded, and they both took off at a sprint, escaping the area before soldiers decided to show up.

  • Y: "I let her go because I gave my word that I would. I hold to my promises."
He leans against a wall, letting the others do their bit of talking.

    S: "Ah.... Ummmm..."
Her thoughts weren't really on food, they were more on Tristam, and worrying if he was all right.
    "What would you recommend?"
  • "I'm April. Last year student at the Twin Academy, subject dark magic. I was doing my research here, but there was a bit of extention." She looks at Cress. "This is Cresswell, but everybody calls him Cress. Water magician and my friend." She strokes his hair. "And I'd like to know why you are actually here. I thought I had sent you away to get the Black Book." Cress scratches behind his ear. "Uh... About the book. It's kinda in the possession of a bunch of assassins. They stole the book from the store." She grabs Cress and yells something in Latin.
  • "A pleasure." Kria said blankly, ignoring the duo's argument and turning back to her copy. "Now you."

"Well, y'see..." The doll began. "I'm kind of an artificial life-form created by the girl that just kept you prisoner, made from..."
    "Yes?"
"Well, funny story, I've got a piece of your soul inside me. Just a tiny piece, I swear! You won't even notice it's gone!"

The intelligence general glared at the doll. "Well, that's just my luck, isn't it?" She said, sighing in exasperation.
"First Yuushio lets the necromancer get away, and now this!"

"Uhh, Kria?" Said Arratay suddenly. "Hate to interrupt the little rant you've got going, but I've got a message from home. And it's bad news."
"What is it? Nobody resorts to telepathy unless it's urgent."
"Two unknown individuals have infiltrated the castle. The guards and guardians are doing all they can, from what I've been told, but they've so far evaded capture. So far, their intentions are unknown."

    ---------------------------------------

"Can't decide, can you?" Finnian asked.
"Well... If I remember right, you quite enjoyed our famous Ama-ama Dango. It would be no trouble to make it if you want some. After all, you're the reason we're still serving it here."

  • The kitsune gave a bow.
"Of course, you are very welcome. I'll be back shortly."

And with that, Finnian had immediately turned and left.

    --------------------------------------

"Well, then." Said Tanis. "Just give me a moment, I'll take us ba-"
"Don't bother." Kria interrupted, a white glow already surrounding her.

Before anybody could object, or even say anything for that matter, there was a bright white flash. By the time anyone would recover from their temporary blindness, they would discover they were back in Ishpa. Right in front of the castle gates, to be specific.

"Are you two still squabbling?" The Intelligence general asked April.
