  • Best render settings for Youtube?

So I've been making videos for a while now, and whenever I render videos, they only take around 10 minutes (Super Fast Computer) But the file size is usually high, I mean, a 15:51 minute videos is 591MB. I'm not sure if it is because I have face cams and overlays. But it's becoming a pain as it takes much longer for my files to upload to youtube.

I would love it if someone could shine some light as it is becoming a pain having very large files for each video.

    PROGRAMS I USED:
    Sony Vegas Pro 11
    Fraps to Record
    Logitech Webcam software for Facecam.

    RENDER SETTING:
    720p 30FPS Custom .wmv file

    Thanks

  • I personally use Bandicam for recording games, because recorded files takes much less space then in Fraps.

My settings for Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 are quite simple. With this settings your rendering will be quite shorter and quality good.

This is my AUDIO settings in PROJECT PROPERTIES:

My Render settings are Windows Media Video V11 (*.wmv) and from there 6.7 Mbps HD 1080-25p Video.

My webcamera is Microsoft HD-6000 and I record it with Windows Movie Maker.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

EDIT: And yeah, about uploading to Youtube. For me, ten minute video usually takes about 1h-1h 30min to upload. It really depends on internet connection and file size. I just usually leave it to upload. Remember, that you can always just close your browser if you have to go and continue uploading some other time. It will continue from where it was, if you choose to upload the same file.
