  • A hard drive cannot cause these problems, its just probably either a defective driver, motherboard,Ram or GPU. Any of the last three means you are fucked and probably need to buy another one. Try asking somebody to lend you their gpu (be it AMD or Nvidia) and see if your system crashes,if it doesn't then its the gpu,if it does then its the motherboard.

what if the hard drive have a bad sector?or it's full or it might need defragmentation?there is so many possibilities.the windows might have been old and would need re installation, there might be virus feeling up his RAM so when he would start a game with intensive need of RAM it would Fail.it might be a mother board chipset getting hot and failing to process.maybe the power supply has a short circuit when GPU starts using more power.it can be anything but since it's not available and this bro is far away we can only guess that what's going on.i seriously suggest him to take it to a specialist leave it there for a few days and then he would tell him what's the problem or if the parts have warrant of any kind contact em and ask them for help (either replacing it with a new one or maybe fixing it)

While playing modern games (as in Deus Ex:Human Revolution,Portal 2,ETC) to some older ones (Painkiller) causes my computer to go to black screen and forcing me to restart my computer. While some work on the lowest-medium settings (Hitman:Blood Money,Saints Row 2,Fallout 3) while older games don't crash at all (Thief 2,Tomb Raider The Last Revalation,Deus Ex,CIV 3,ETC).From what I tell it is because my computer (or just graphics card) overheats causing itself to crash.Any help?

I recently switced from my stock fan to a Corsair AF120 Performance edition that fixed my crashes.
If so you can find out by running a program called Speedfan to see your temperatures.
If they exceed 90 degrees you should change a fan

The 314.22 driver before the 320.18 driver is a good safe one to use, assuming your graphics card can support it. If you already have it then just stick with that till the next driver update comes about and when it does, just check up on it before making the jump to make sure its not another problem driver like the 320.18.

Alright, i tried installing the 314.22 driver, since my OS is Windows 8(32-bits), and it said it was "not compatible with this Windows version".
What can you tell me about the Beta versions, like the 320.14 Beta driver? Is it worth installing? Cause by the look, i don't see any GeForce drivers that my OS could support. So unfortunately i don't think the 314.22 driver is compatible either, even if it seems to be a safe one.. You got any hints?
P.S.: I also tried installing the 320.14 Beta driver and it does not seem to work. It's still not compatible with my system.

I'm pretty sure there should be a driver compatible for windows 8 32-bit. When you search for drivers for your graphics card you should choose the correct OS to use and the correct series of card that matches your own. Just to be sure can you try downloading a fresh copy from the Nvidia website here: nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us and make sure that you choose the right settings so that means Windows 8 32-bit and whatever type of card you have.

If you're certain that the driver you've downloaded was correctly selected then i'm not sure what other options you have. If the current driver you have is fine for your current use for most things then perhaps you should just leave it at that. What card are you using? If you want you can try the 314.07 driver. Stick with the WHQL'd drivers first and if they fail you can try the betas but remember beta's still will have more bugs than WHQL'd ones.

Allright, sorry for the misunderstanding. I gave it a look-up on google and found a way of checking both my OS version AND my current graphics card.
My REAL Operation System is Windows 8 Single Language(64 bits), and my graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics.
My graphics driver is Intel Processor Graphics 2000. It is a current one.
I was searching for a driver that could be compatible to my current card, when i found this. All i have done so far was an update.
I hope this could be helpful.. I mean, how should i now if that's a good match even for "heavy" graphics games like Bioshock Infinity, for example?
Not that i do play it, i just wonder if it's a good one even for the use of such programs..
