Please note that this forum is NOT an advertising platform, but rather a platform for people to talk about equal interests and such.
even though its not a advertising platform, still there is a section to it, so what you are saying is not quite right, you can say its more like a help to advertising.
but ive also been active on the forums and such, but he does the same to me, i just think that they dont really care about it anymore because i cant see any new ones post it

By "active" you mean 80% recruiting people for your channel?

  • The forums have changed a little during the year. Originally you could advertise your channel first and such but with the coming of a few more strict mods you now have to contribute a bit first before even attempting to do that. I am not against it as we want to make the forum a place for everyone to chat and be friends.

I believe the first thing I ever posted was my channel thread but I still contributed a lot fo discussions on the same day, So it is a bit blurry to use myself as an example I guess.

  • Yes, you were ( I repeat were) active for 6 days in the introduction section between Apr.28-May.3. (which can be considered spamming actually)
Funny, you're not the first who thought that's the solution. Actually there's a reason that you can't like/dislike/seen the activity in such sections.( Like the Forum Games)
And now go and check your other posts.
    "I think I said enough."

And yes , it had to be changed. Back when Pewdiepie had less fans, it was not a daily thing to see 100 youtube threads. But now that he's got more than 8 million fans, just try to imagine how many ppl are trying to advertise themselves. When we changed the rules, in the beginning we let ppl advertise with a few other posts.
But after they got their advertisement, they left the forum. That's why we really want to see that the person means to be staying on the forums.
It is very hard to pass but not impossible.

  • when i first came here i had no youtube channel, i had no intention to advrtising, SINCE WHEN WELCOMEING PEOPLE CONSIDER AS SPAM, just show how much people dont care for the new people coming in from diffrent directions,im not to prove anything but even though i have more time in the intro section more time you try to make me look bad
I think you are that kind of guy... that just don't know where to put a RED line
and the recruit that i open,ITS NOT FOR MY CHANNEL its for NEW PEOPLE TO GROW ALSO, and more about teamwork

Let me show your first sentence that you posted in your introduction : "hello guys im a guy who is going to open a youtube channel and i would love to get help by you"
(this is what I would call ironic)
So you had no intention to advertise?

you right, im not going to check my first post, maybe my intention was to adv my channel, but look how much you chage the name of the subject that Doyll asked help with, and here you are fighting with me about my mistake, way to go...

    Changed the subject?
I already answered him and you've got problem in connection with the same thing and at least he can see how to do it. Not the way you're doing it.
Also I'm not the one making you look bad. But you are right about one thing. It's never good to argue in a thread and since I can see that you are unable to bring up any reasons for your action, I suggest that if you want to continue it , send me a pm.

  • If you don't want people advertising channels then don't have a section on the forums for it.

Making undefined restrictions is just going to frustrate people. If you can't manage the section, or don't want the forum to be a centre for advertising, remove it, and let people just have their channel link in their profile. Therefore when they contribute, people will be interested in them, click on their profile, and see it. You allow channel links in people's signatures anyway.

We are managing the section. We're okay with them advertising if they are not here to advertise only.
The problem with your idea is, that it won't stop them. They will post their youtube channel in every thread where they can. We know it. It's happening all the time and sometimes when it's ultra-bad we edit them. For example, I have to check people because of that. Won't say names but I could list a few.
    Thanks for the feedback though.
