    • Someone is impersonating PewDiePie on YouTube

I was just watching the "Youtubers React to Try to Watch This Without Laughing or Grinning" video. By chance, I didn't know that PewDiePie was in the video, so it was a surprise to me when I saw him in it. Well, I was looking at the comments on the page and some idiot is impersonating him. He wrote some comment like "8 million bros" and I thought, "That is definitely not him". I clicked on the channel and what do you know-- it was NOT PewDiePie. Shortly after I wrote a comment reply saying I knew that wasn't him and that I was reporting him, he removed his own comment. But, I'm asking everyone who has a YouTube account to report the guy. His channel: youtube.com/user/pewdiepiebrofanboy/

If you click under the "About" tab, you will see a small button with a black flag on it. Click it, and choose "Report user". It'll give you the choice to report the person for "Impersonation" and then click the Continue button. Under the second question, the sentence " My friend, family member, student, co-worker or other person I do not legally represent is being impersonated" should be chosen and after just hit the "Confirm" button.
    • Dude, everyone "copies" PewDiePie or so I'm told. I got told I was copying him because I made a scare montage for someone else who had been on YouTube before PewDie even existed. If you play a game that he played after he played it, you're copying him say's the "broarmy". I personally dislike PewDiePie now. He was good before but now he's just stale and has the same bullshit jokes and rape comments. I know that appeals to younger kids, but not to me.

But that has nothing to do with the issue I was referring to....I'm talking about actual YouTube impersonation of his name and his channel icon and writing comments on videos pretending to be him.

Well, if people say so and so is copying PewDiePie, then that's on them for hating on others who just want to make videos or play games. PewDie doesn't own copyright to the games. So the ones in the wrong for saying ___ is copying PewDiePie is the accusers. You shouldn't take it to heart when someone says you are copying him because those kind of comments get thrown around literally on every channel when people play the same game or do similar things on YouTube. I get that for some of PewDiePie's subs, it happens on a larger scale because of how huge his fanbase is. I watch PewDiePie for PewDiePie, not for the broarmy. When some people of the broarmy say, "___ is copying Pewds!" I say, stfu (or at least I want to) because there is no copying issue. Everyone one way or the other ends up playing similar games or doing similar things because of common interests, not because of "copying" which is just non existent and a stupid label. Of the things I've seen a large scale of people in the broarmy say or do in a negative light on YouTube, I want nothing to do with that and avoid like the plague. I think it sets a bad example if someone is a fan of PewDiePie and writes crap comments. I've seen more than I need to of some in the broarmy who will just cuss out in rage filled post anyone who says he/she doesn't like PewDiePie or doesn't find him funny. That's really not the way to have a conversation.

I'm 23, so I don't know what it feels like to be a kid and watch PewDiePie. I would not say all his videos appeal to me. The Fahrenheit series, or the Conker's Bad Fur Day thing wasn't my taste. I only watch videos on his channels that interest me. I notice in some games he plays he is definitely more serious or focused and in others he kind of just bullshits through it in an amusing or kind of like an epic fail gameplay. Like, for example, I really enjoyed his "Year Walk" series. But, yes, in some videos more than others he's not that great at the general gameplay in the game, so he tends to crack jokes more. I understand some games are not his niche, but remember he does play games that some of his subscribers suggest, so he's playing a game to try it out for his audience and it might not really be in his interest.
    • It baffles me that anyone can fall for that when his username is "Pewdiepiebrofanboy" ..
Also I agree with that second poster, there's so many young kids watching his vids that I sometimes think barely anyone of my age views it. I just feel alot of his videos maybe are meant for the younger crowd.
    • I don't really understand this whole getting your knickers in such a bunch that you actually waste your own time reporting people for impersonating others. Youtubers have their own channels that they comment with, you just need to click on their name to see a direct link to their own content. I mean come on people don't get fooled that easily :p

Also PewdiePie doesn't OWN his commentary style. People can copy his method if they like but in the end more channels die doing so than succeed, so what do you really need to get upset or be concerned about?
There is always time for muffins.
