So I've come to the conclusion that the webcam I am using sucks.

I would like to invest in a new device for recording video footage for my channel. I really don't have a lot of knowledge on cameras so I'm asking for some advice. I don't plan to use it for audio.

Should I go with a web cam or a digital camcorder? Are there any specific recommendations for let's plays or gameplay channels?
