Hey guys! I'm currently working on an original story and thought i'd put it here. Just a warning, I'm not the best writer around so if you see a mistake feel free to correct it. Oh, and my E key tends to stick so I might be missing a few Es. So here's the prologue of sorts.
In this world there are two kinds of people. Those with wings and those without. There are many kinds of wings, feathered, leathery, scaled, and even ones made from an element. These winged people can be born at anytime, even to those without wings. Even if both parents have wings the child can still be born without them. They are considered both a blessing and a curse. They are used as pets, something to dress up and show off.
The parents of these beautiful things are forced to give up their child. They are then sold to the highest bidder. A sign of richness and power is the amount of winged ones you own. Today, two more of these Winged Ones are born. In two very different places.
One a little boy with black feathered wings, born to a poor family in a small, poor, village. He was a gift, the money that they would earn from selling him would mean that the whole village could be fed and healthy for years to come. The other was a little girl with wings of fire, born in a breeding ground for Winged Ones where she was just another paycheck, an everyday thing. The two are taken and sold. They boy was sold to a young couple wanted to create a servant base of Winged Ones. The was sold to a woman who bought female Winged Ones and used them from modeling her clothing line. The two would lead very different lives, save for one thing. War. Sixteen years after the two are born a war begins between those with wings and those without. Not all of each kind join in. Some winged ones are happy with their masters. Some not so much. Now let us see how this war will play out and what part these two will play in it.
