SCP Help

Hey guys, so ive been following a load of links to SCP stuff and i like what ive seen, but im a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff tied to this acronym i'd never heard of before. I hear there are games based around these fictions that I can play, but where is the best place to find them and does anybody know how many there are?

I'd love to play them and I'm a sucker for this mystery horror crap :p

P.S If anybody can give me a quick run down on what SCP actually is that'd be completely baller too! It's just so much content i don't know where to start

ok for one if you have heard of SCP 087 do not get it. it isnt scary at all
2: scp 087 B i dont think anyone wants to provide spoilers
3: there are mods done by XLePlay check out his thread o them
4: there is a new SCP being released SCP Containment Breach it is a survival horror and like SCP 087 B the events randomize each time you play

About the game:

SCP-087: james is not really right. It is scary in a other way then SCP-087-B. SCP-087 is going to your brain, it makes you feel very bad. Others are scared by this, others not.

SCP-087-B: This game is more based on jumpscares. The atmosphere is scary too, but the graphics are kind of bad. I'd prefer this one to get a good old heartattack

I'm just trying to give a new feeling while playing it, there are no "big" differences.

This is great, thanks both! I'm trying to find some scary games after playing Amnesia and Condemned recently, but i'm trying to find some indie developed stuff because it's generally more experimental and fun to try.

I'll keep an eye out for the one releasing soon and i'll definitely give it a try!

well amnesia custom storys count
other than that i dont know any others besides the SCP series

You should play the Penumbra Series . (Not Free)

Also make sure you have an eye open for Amnesia - A Machine for Pigs (Not Free), Anna (Free) and of course SCP - Containment Breach (Free)

I also know Candles. It's like a little brother of Amnesia. -Free

And there is Phobia - Fear of the Darkness. (I don't like it, but maybe you do.) -Free

Penumbra: Requiem - an expansion pack and actually has no enemies just puzzles

Sweet, wow you guys kick ass. I will try all of those games. Penumbra is actually next on my Lets Play list for my channel after i finish Amnesia, but the rest i'd never heard of.
