I just recently got my Turtle Beach Z2 headset in the mail and want to use it with my Macbook Pro 15". The headset works awesome, except when I plug it in, it doesn't register the microphone. Can someone help me figure out how to get the microphone to work?

If you get teamviewer and let me look at it I might be able to help."I've begun my voyage in a paper boat without a bottom; I will fly to the moon in it."
"When this paper aeroplane leaves the cliff edge, and carves parallel vapour trails in the dark, we will come together."

I'm also a Turtle Beach user myself. I have Windows. So, I am not sure how Macs work.
I suggest going into settings and changing it manually? -
Have you reboot your computer?

Again, download teamviewer and let me try."I've begun my voyage in a paper boat without a bottom; I will fly to the moon in it."

I have the headphone part plugged in where it should be and the microphone part right next to it in the audio in part, but when i go to setting and try out the microphone after selecting audio in, it doesn't register me saying anything. Like usual, the built-in microphone works normal when I try that.

Mine worked once I disabled my internal sound drive. Try disabling your internal microphone (if you have one)

You can't disable the internal mic, just switch between the two. I'm getting teamviewer right now.
I got teamviewer. Gonna be really busy these next few days, but let me know anytime someone is ready and help me out. I might need to get a USB adapter for the headset. Read online something about the difference between a line input and a mic input or something like that related to Macs. Hopefully I don't need to buy the USB thing (it's around $25), but if I have to, I guess I will. Would make audio quality better anyway from what I hear.
Other than the mic problem, I'm liking the headphones. Time to get into computer gaming! -
Closed, issue resolved, USB adapter all that was needed.
If the problem persists when you've tried that, feel free to inform me to reopen this thread."I've begun my voyage in a paper boat without a bottom; I will fly to the moon in it."
