    • Minecraft | GriefPrevention and PopulationDensity plugins

Good day, fellow members of PewDiePie.net. In this tutorial, you will learn about the GriefPrevention and PopulationDensity plugins that we have installed in our Projectpew.net Minecraft server.

      GriefPrevention
To prevent random (or not random) people from just coming into our server and destroying your property, we have the GriefPrevention plugin. If it's your first time in the server, the very first chest you place will be surrounded by a 9x9 claim. To further expand this claim, or to make new ones, you need a golden shovel and more claimblocks. You get these claimblocks simply by playing in the server.

You can use the /trust <name> command while standing in your claim to give another player permission to build, access your chests, etc. There are different permissions too, if you don't want to give full trust to the player - /accesstrust (Lets the player use buttons, levers, etc.), /containertrust (Lets the player use buttons, levers and also open chests, furnaces, etc.); /permissiontrust (Gives the player permission to /trust other players). If you don't want to share the claim with the player anymore, you can /untrust <name>. To view who is trusted in your claim, use /trustlist.

Claims can be subdivided with the /subdivideclaims command. It's the same like making a new claim, just inside your own claim and it won't use more claimblocks, since it's just subdivision. You can then give different permissions to the specific area of your claim to people, rather than the whole area.

If you don't want your claim anymore, or need more claimblocks for another area, you can use the /abandonclaim command while standing in your claim. It will give all your claimblocks back.
To check other players claims, right click using a stick.

      Commands:
      /trust <name>
      /untrust <name>
      /trustlist
      /subdivideclaims
      /abandonclaim

      PopulationDensity
Quite alot of players don't like that we don't have the /sethome command, but we feel like it would break the survival aspect of the game (it's easy enough already). But we understand it can be annoying to travel long distances, so we use PopulationDensity plugin. It creates 5x5 Stonebrick platforms with Glowstone posts in the center, 400 blocks from each other, meaning a region is 200x200 blocks big. You can use these posts to travel to different regions, let me explain how.

A moderator can name a region however he wants. You can use the /visitregion <name> command to such regions. Remember, you need to stand right next to a region post if you want to use these commands. There's also /randomregion and /newestregion commands, if you don't know any region names.
When you find a region that suits you, you can use the /movein command. The region you are in will become your home region, and you can use the /homeregion command to get back to it from another region post (this is good if the region you live in is unnamed). You can invite a friend to your region using the /invitetoregion <name> command. If you don't see a region post and want to know what region you are in, use /whichregion command.

      Commands:
      /visitregion <name>
      /randomregion
      /newestregion
      /movein
      /homeregion
      /invitetoregion <name>
      /whichregion
