Hello there, I want to make a game named Year Zero which will be a zombie game, maybe when reaching Beta I may recommend it to Pewds, but I need a engine, I could use Unity Free but there's a lot of missing stuff, and UDK is so hard, so I could ask for a engine to make a game that is good, easy and free??
A good, easy, and free game maker engine like Unity?

If you want a completely free engine, use blender.

Oh and Free, but must be easy, a engine for wimps
The only person who can tell if it is easy is yourself. Blender is free , so why do you not try it?

A little advice. There is.no such thing as easy in game design. If you like Unity, then learn Unity.

Udk is pretty good. Just don't use bsp brushes for level design. Its better to create everything in an external program like Maya and bring it in.

There are advantages and disadvantages in all engines. I am trying to develop a game myself aswell, but, like you, was searching and searching for a game engine that fit my needs.
Unity3d is probably the easiest for programming and all that.
UDK has an awesome level editor, but is a bit harder to use if you are a N00B.
The Blender Game Engine, which I have used, is pretty cool, once you know your way around the interface.
My technique is modelling world models, weapons etc. in blender, and then importing them into unity to add terrain and program the game there.
You just have to think about whats best for your needs, but in any engine you will HAVE to use scripts, how easy they are depends on the language for scripting:
UDK supports C++ only
Unity3d supports C++, C# and Javascript
Blender only works with Python
(If I am wrong please correct me)
Sincerely,
-Ace
P.S. If I sound like I know a lot about this, I don't. I am pretty n00b at Programming, and I am better at modeling.Watch my Melon Self play Game Stuffs

a good tip i'm gonna give you that you need to remember: stuff where you have to pay for isn't cheap, but if you want to do it good, the best thing is to just pay for it once, and your work will be rewarded, if you want to play it the cheap way, it's never gonna work, i speak out of experience D:

It all depends on what your preference building type is & your style of video games. If you like RPGs, of course RPG maker is always available but you got to pay for it (like LegendGamers stated, you'll be very happy if you pay for it). If you like 3D games with good graphics, software like Autodesk (a software where Resident Evil 5 was developed and made but it's very expensive.) & unity (my favorite software as Slenderman was developed from it). Hoped you found acceptable software.
*They have software called Game Maker but I hear it doesn't really suit people's taste these days.“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.” -
