Mad Father (Indie game likes Ib and The Witch House)

    • Hi~! I've just started this game today and I've got a problem with a monster that's chasing me in the underground guest room area.

      You know, that one part where a really fast little thing chases you and to escape you get into a room and close the door. Then, the bed moves and behind it there's a passage that connects to the other room and you have to move a pot.


      I did this: went into the passage, moved the pot to get to the second room, tried to go out of the other door, monster chased me. To avoid it I had to move the pot back into place so it couldn't get through. Went back to the first room. The bed moved by itself back into place and won't budge anymore so I can't go into the passage.



      The thing is, I can win the monster over to the door on the left side of the room (where I came from) since it comes out from the last door, but when I get into the hallway I fall down and it kills me.
      I can't win him over to the door on the upper right.


      I think I probably used the pot wrong or something? And didn't get it locked away properly, but I coudn't do it any other way!.
      I saved too so now I can't go back unless I re-start from another archive.


      I was just wondering if there's a way to undo it or, if I did it right, how can I get to the door before the monster. =(

      Try running the game Emulated to Windows 7 or XP Service pack 3.
      Either way why Windows 8 it's really bad you know,At least in my opinion.

      For starter's.
      Your firewall does not have anything to do with this game,since it does not require an active internet connection while playing.
      An firewall of an antivirus program also does not have effect unless it warned you,

      Above that Did you update your copy of windows?

      If that does not help you could always try to look up an Source Zipped version of the game.
      That is an copy that does not require an install script.
