The Intel Quad Core i7 is one of the best out there i think,
i'm not sure if i'm on the wrong track here but i assume by a proccesor you mean CPU? -
If price doesn't matter, get an i7.

i5-2500K with a Z68 board and an aftermarket cooler. If you can add more hundred bucks.
i7-2600K with the same specs.:) -

Core 2 Quad and Athlon II X2 255? Really? You can't even play games at decent fps.
Go with i3-2100 + H61m mobo if you can't afford an i5.
With AMD, get at least Phenom II X4 960T.
What;s your budget anyways? -

470 is powerful, both on performance and giving headaches on electric bill.xD

Yes, I do mean CPU's, I don't just really call em' that.

i3? Meh.... It's about the same as Core 2 Quad.... and yes you can play games at descent FPS
I could run BF3 on medium with 40-50 FPS on this rig and Bad Company 2 on highest settings with about 50-60 FPS... as I said, for Nvidia get an Intel, for ATI get an AMD. -
I'd go for i7 ..! But its just me xD

I bet you can't click that dancin' Buu

But where's the upgrade path? it's a dead end. So yes, it's almost the same as i3 but i3 is much better since you can upgrade easily to i5 or even i7.:) -
