Personally, I think the legend of Zelda games has the best music in gaming history but my personal favorites are from Windwaker. For example......






Also, the Metroid prime trilogy is a very close second of mine and it was hard picking out these examples.






Finally, to prove that I'm not straight up Nintendo fan girl, my third pick would be shadow of the colossus.

Half-Life 2 - Path of Borealis

The best soundtrack ever

On the top of my head right now... the Bastion soundtrack is the most recent game that stunned me with the beautiful songs. I found myself listening to it on youtube afterwards just to recapture a bit of the feeling of the game and sing along.

But I would have to say my all time favorite remains the Zelda serie songs. Whatever game it is, I end up mumbling (is that the proper word?) the music along the whole time. I particularly enjoyed the orchestra version found on the cd that came with Skyward Sword. (youtu.be/6Qp-ypYp6rQ). I've already got my tickets for the concert at the end of May, looking forward to it greatly!

I doubt many have heard but it's called Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic 1/2 Referred to as KOTOR. I like the music. I get goosebumps listening to it sometimes.

KOTOR hates my computer for some reason, I can't get it to play. But I played the sequel and loved it. I can't really recall the music much, though.

Journey has an absolutely amazing soundtrack. It fits each moment when it plays perfectly, and it's pretty nice to listen to on its own, too.



Other than that, probably Shatter.

In my opinion, Crash Twinsanity has a good soundtrack. :3
I liked playing it, until I let my cousin have it for a certain amount of time (but I never got it back D:)
Slip Slide Icecapades has a very good one, but N.Sanity Island and the Final Boss, Evil Twins is good too!

And how could I forget the Worm Chase ? XD
