    • The joke called "WarZ"

Fans have come out criticizing the zombie survival game for misleading advertising, suspicious microtransactions, and forum censorship. Meanwhile, The War Z's developers have defended themselves, telling us that "93% of [their] customers like the game."

It's a bizarre mess that we've been following closely and will continue to follow as this week goes on. Here's everything we know so about The War Z so far.[/spoiler]

All about it. Basically they are the biggest scamming bunch I ever seen and even communist russia (pun-intended) has more freedom.

      Also
The man behind The War Z helped make one of the worst games of all time.

It's called Big Rigs, and it was immortalized by Alex Navarro in this entertaining GameSpot video review. Sergey Titov was the lead programmer on Big Rigs, according to a number of write-ups on the game.

WarZ such a enjoyable and bugfree game... inb4noclipping

Even more lulz about the game :

    • Never played DayZ, War Z, or any other zombie shit that ends in "Z". I've seen DayZ played, looked meh.

Then saw WarZ and oh the fuck I would not give for this game.

      I lawl'd at the "1.2 metacritic score."

I don't even have a reaction picture that could describe the game.
    • Calm down people, it's still an alpha/beta, ... whatever.
Remember the time when minecraft got sold as alpha/beta? Remember what little possibilities it had, and which bugs?

Personally I looked forward to WarZ, because DayZ is simply boring to me.
Also some of the information on "kotaku" ( I never even heard of that website ) is simply wrong.

DayZ is NOT for free. You have to buy "Arma 2" and "Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead".
Both have cost of 14.99€, or together as "Arma 2 Combined Operations" they cost 24.99€.

So DayZ, in fact, costs much more.

My guess is that either the kotaku-boys are DayZ-Fanboys, too, or they got paid to spread some concerns. XD

Apart from that, have you ever played DayZ? Do you know how many bugs this mod still has? lol

Disagreed , you have possibly not read everything.

Also do you know that these micropayments will consume a lot more money then you think??

Also , even when Kotaku has been paid to talk shit about it , then why is there such commotion about it + so lowly rated on metacritic? Why is the developer a lieing cheat by basically scamming a lot of people with promising false details at the steam page? Why has the game even been removed from steam due to its shadyness and buggyness?

      DayZ fanboys complaining? Lol nope.

Also , do you rresearch. You are paying for Arma 2 and for that game alone. As the mod is totally free. While WarZ is an awful standalone game which scams the living shit out of you.

Basically saying that they are both paid is bs.

    • Apparently someone did read the "If you die wait 4 hours or buy now." Meaning you could wait while your friends kill moar, or cough up a few bucks and keep playing. Its like Chuckee Cheese or something.
not to mention a lot more stuff cost money in that
So in the long run, it would cost more.

I NEVER bought anything with real money in all the free to play games I played over the years, NEVER EVER.
So I most likely wouldn't use this in WarZ either.

Does this 4-hour-wait also apply to hardcore characters? I know it's most likely not implemented yet, but if not, I would've played hardcore anyways.

No it's not. I never played Arma 2, I only bought it for DayZ.
I mean don't get me wrong, according to steam I played 80 hours, so I don't really regret it.
But if you want to play DayZ, and you're not interested in Arma 2 at all, it will cost you 24.99€. Fact.
    • The War Z is the world's first survival mmo Zombie Game. You may have played Zombie Games before - now it's time to live one.
Quoted from WarZ website. They didn't even removed the line after all throubles they went on.

In my opinion, if the developers are lying to players, scamming them, quickly rushing the game to get money and not trying to put any actual effort to their work, they simply deserve to be hated. A lot.
    • Cirno wrote:

Your fact is still proven wrong as DayZ is still a free mod , its your choice that you have bought it to play DayZ , but DayZ itself doesn't cost money.

And still you have to buy something in order to play it.
This argument is pointless, because none of us will comply. XD

Everyone is raging, people are putting together mass images of how this game is a copy of WarInc.

Well, it's based on the WarInc Engine. XD
If the models are fitting, why should they make new ones?
