Independent video game created by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl. You control a crying naked baby child called Isaac or one of the other 6 unlockable characters. After his mom recieves a message from God demanding the life of her son as a proof of faith, Isaac flees into the monster-filled basement in order to escape with his life. The game's title and plot are references to the Biblical story known as the Binding of Isaac (edited from Wikipedia)

I REALLY REALLY reccomend you to buy this game with the Wrath of the Lamb DLC because it adds a lot of new cool stuff into the game (new levels, items, bosses,...), and it's only 2€
