    • Shutting down my channel...

As the title states I am going to be shutting down my channel.

Some of you may go "BUT WHYYYYYYYYYY!??"

Most of you may go "Why should we care?" <--- To this I say why are you reading this thread?

There are various reasons for shutting it down which I shall list here:

      1. No Time Left: Starting Jan 2nd I am going to be a full time College student so I will NOT be able to make videos even on the weekends due to my schedule for studying (I DO want to get my associates ya know..)

      2. No point: This is where I am going to sense some hate and a debate (Rhyme not intentional) Basically I don't feel like there is a point to me making my videos if no one is really going to view them except for a very few amount.

Now before this starts a argument saying "MERRRRR YOU STARTED YOUTUBE CHANNEL TO GET FAMOUS! YOU ARE BAD GUY! YOU SHOULD ONLY DO IT IF YOU LIKE DOING IT!" I DO like doing it. But the thing is that even though you like making videos is there really a difference to you playing it without recording and having a friendly chat on Skype, and recording it and having only 3 people watch it? No. No difference what so ever.

"BUT EVERYONE STARTS SMALL!" Yes everyone DOES start small. Most STAY small. Only a lucky few such as Seananners, Pewdie, Cry, Crit1kal, etc. get noticed by the masses.

Now I have been doing this for two years and I am still stuck with dead subs and no actual way to reach out to a potential fanbase. Don't take this as a plea for subs because I know it will lead to hate or more dead subs.

So yeah. Thanks to everyone who actually did watch the videos (All five of you) been a fun ride.
    • 1. I played a hell of a lot of video games and got a first honours, which only 5% of my year achieved. College is about having 80% fun and 20% education. Sure you go to learn but you will learn more through your own work than you do in the class. My teachers told me this, my older friends told me this, I now pass on that knowledge.

      2. What is the point in gaming in general? To have fun. Same with recording games. You have been doing this for two years, it seems like a bit of a waste just to throw all that away.

      3. Everyone starts small? Everyone still is small. There are billions of people on the planet and all those popular youtubers combined don't even crack 10% of the Earth's viewing population. Youtube is much bigger than Pewdiepie and all the rest, I wouldn't let other's success rock your boat as eventually that popularity will begin to dwindle and others will take their place. It is like the circle of life and you could be part of the new generation.

Apart from that, I hope you enjoy college. You are going to meet and make some remarkable friends and have the time of your life...if you let yourself.
There is always time for muffins.
    • Basically my plan is this:

Shut down my channel: Done. You can no longer go onto my channel.

Finish college: I know what you are getting at Noir but I'd prefer to get my education done first, hobbies second.

Get a good paying job: Can take me about 4-6 years depending on which degree I want to finish with.

Once above steps are done then I can think about starting a new channel or just continue playing games for the hell of it.

6 Years? Gosh, Who knows if Youtube will even be around with how fast things change online. It may at the least fall from its number 1 spot, who knows.

As for being in college. It's not anywhere near as much work as high school teachers make it out to be. In my opinion it's far more relaxed and less time consuming. (At least the school part of it).

Anyway, best of luck to you bro, whatever it is you end up doing.
