I use a Hauppage HD PVR Gaming Edition. You can get them really cheap too. Check out my channel to see the quality output from it. Though I would stay away from getting the Hauppage HD PVR Gaming Edition 2 as it is supposedly worse than the original.

Get the Elgato capture card ,it's better than the HD pvr,

But, it can't be used on a 3ds. I'm not sure about the wii, I think it's possible but the capture cards are mainly used for xbox 360 and ps3, so.

Then you should not buy one because it would be only a waste of money :P.

I recently picked up the Haupaugge HD PVR 2 since it was on sale. It's been great so far and it doesn't lag my game while playing at all. I got mine for $150

I've heard absolutely amazing things about the Elgato capture card. (Aprox $170)

But in your case, if you are looking to conserve money you could probably settle with a $30 - $40 Dazzle cap card. It's only Standard definition though, which is a major deal breaker for many. But if you are only going to record your Wii you could get by with it since Wii's are Standard def anyway.

Personally I feel like if you plan on spending money on a capture card you may as well buy a decent one. The dazzle is pretty out dated, and the other 2 options I gave you can record standard definition things as well, not just HD.

From what I've read the Elgato is the best quality. But if you plan on doing a lot of standard def recordings, the HD Hauppauge PVR 2 may be a good choice, it is pretty gosh darn easy to use.

Hd PVR is a capture card.

Not your 3ds.. At least as far as I know, the HD PVR doesn't support handhelds.

I don't think they've made anything for 3DS. Unless you want to use an emulator.
