I've got quite a few games, both on XBOX and on PC that I want to be able to record and put on a youtube channel, but I have absolutely no idea how I can do this. Could you guys help me out and tell me what I would need?

For a PC, you can download any free screen recording program or buy FRAPS (what PewDie uses). Then just record while you're playing, do a little video editing afterward, and you got yourself some Youtube content

Well if you want to record on a normal computer just download Fraps or Hypercam and try to record something just to see the quality and/or set them properly.
Once you're done,buy one of the aforementioned programs and start recording.
Remember that you'll also need a video editing software like Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro because Windows Movie Maker sucks.
Now if you want to record on Xbox you'll need an external device which also works as a hard disk,meaning that the footage you record will stay on the device so that you can copy it on your computer and edit it.
The device I'm talking about is a HD PVR,[see picture]which costs around 250 euros.
