200 Subscribers + Partnership :D What to FearPlay?

So I am very happy to have hit my 200th subscriber this morning

I've also been accepted for partnership with TGN. I'd like to make a special FearPlay to celebrate and nerd out over, so can I get some suggestions from you guys for free horror games that you want to see Let's Played? As usual, I'll try and make the commentary interesting and in-depth, so maybe something with stuff you want to hear expanded on? :3

I just feel like you don't pay attention to the game when you talk about other stuff D: "Lovecraft blah blah blah Dagon movie sucked ass but watch it anyway blah blah lore and mythology (in the background something happens) blah blah ancient gods.... *5 min later* ...wait did something just happen?" xD Sorry I'm a dickhead.

I personally think it comes down to the LPer's ability to commentate and how they can keep things entertaining for the viewer. In the ideal situation I would suggest talking more about the game and trying to immerse yourself in it so that the audience can be immersed with you. I feel talking about other stuff is more for those Vlog things people do but if you are able to make a perfect mix then more power to you really. You just have to remember that people want to watch these videos because of your experience with the game in question, not because of that itch you scratched last week.

The thing is that I don't talk about unrelated things XD If we play a Slender game, we cover Slenderman mythology or theories. If I'm playing Call of Cthulhu, I talk about HP Lovecraft or the mythology in-game. I don't talk about the stuff I did last week or what I had for lunch of what I think of the political situation XD I sprinkle a few reactions or observations about what we're seeing in-game sure, but I don't think that it should be the focus of what you are doing. The viewer can see what is happening just fine without me narrating the screen at them

I have tried watching your videos before but they just aren't the types of games I would generally play. I actually remember seeing that Cthulu game in an Electronics Boutique (YEARS AGO, FREAKING YEARS AGO YO!) and just staring at it thinking "Erm, this likes rubbish" Thing thing is who would have thought it would become a cult hit? Only the almighty Cthulu new that my dear forum members!

That's cool, horror is not everyone's cup of tea

And yeah, if you're not a Lovecraft fan it's probably harder to get into. Really what makes it a cult classic is the attention to detail it pays to the mythos, which makes it incredibly immersive for someone like me, who loves that stuff. But yeah, the game is actually far from perfect in terms of mechanics. And the difficulty curve, even on easy, is balls-insane.

It was still a super cool series! I loved Fear 3 because of its really well developed coop feature

I would happily step forth into another entry.

I hated Fear, but I actually really enjoyed Fear 2. Haven't played any others/the stand alones, though.
