HDMI video card to DVI-D Monitor. help.

Hey guys! So if you know something about monitors. You might help me out. I'm currently using an old VGA cables. (too obsolete imo) and I'm thinking of changing it to dvi.

I have hdmi ports on my Sapphire 6950 1GB but I only have DVI-D on my Monitor. will it work if I would buy an hdmi-dvi-d adaptor?

If it's an HDMI output most definitely, but if you want to change to DVI why not just get DVI-VGA adapters?

My monitor doesn't support HDMI.-.- And I want to use my HDMI cables. Well, because I think it has better quality than vga.xD Digital>Analog right? And I think with HDMI/DVI, I can get 1920x1080. I think.

I bought one. I have to get another adaptor.-.- Maybe I'll just go back and replace it for HDMI to DVI-D adapter.
