  • Can this PC Run these games? Finding A new gaming PC

    Hello Everyone. I have been Looking for a new Gaming Desktop so i went to Alienware.com To see what they have. So far the Aurora Is inside my Price range but the specs aren't Really "The best" So i decided To customize it And this is what i got. I know Nothing about Computers and It would be nice if someone could tell me if It will Work or not. Honestly If i had the money and time to build one i would. But I just don't make the money.

    Games i am aiming to play with 0 To no lag (aka) at or over 60 fps :

    Just Cause 2 ( Medium To max settings )
    Gta 4 (ENB SERIES) (Maxed out)
    Battlefield 2/3 (aka most battlefields) (Ultra settings if possible)
    Call of duty wow/mw3/bo/bo2/etc (Low to High Settings )
    Borderlands 2 ( Medium to High settings )
    Crisis 1/2 (medium to Ultra settings )

    That's all i can think off atm. (If i find more I'll add them. and Also the Settings i have beside each games is what i want to play the game in. If it is to much to as for then i am sorry )
    The Summary of the PC without Mouse, Keyboard, etc Is = $2,839.00

    This is a Aurora R4

    If i have Posted this in the wrong Area Then i am truly Sorry For i am 101% Brain dead.
    The specs i have made =

    PROCESSOR = 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3930K (12M Cache, Overclocked up to 3.9 GHz)

    OPERATING SYSTEM = Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English

    MEMORY = 8GB (4 X 2GB) Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz

    VIDEO CARD = 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 690 (Changed to 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 680 Thanks to Kneesocks)

    HARD DRIVE = 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s

    MONITOR No Monitor

    SOUND CARD = Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio

    WIRELESS & BLUETOOTH = 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Combo Adapter

    OPTICAL DRIVE = Single Drive: 24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability

    And if i am spending To much (Which i bet i am) Then It would be appreciated if you Could tell me.
    Thanks

    Lol me? Dude , 4 gig is frikking overkill if you ask me. I'm sure you can max out most current games with 2gig

    Not you, OP.
    Buying a $3000 computer and wondering if it can run COD on Low - High settings lmao.
    I know it can run it on Low settings. its just for is someone Recommends a lower Priced graphics card. I know a GTX 690 can Run it now Low. its just that's the settings i am Ok to run it in. Thank you.

    PS you can buy a $2,000 Computer and it can have a Horrible graphics and Processor. But it can have all the Looks AKA led lights, etc. And why would i take all that time to Make a PC on Alienware and Post all that text here for a tiny troll?

    My computer is only worth around $1300 but it has a good processor and a good graphics card. It plays everything on max, even Crysis.
    That machine you are planning on buying (still think your trying to troll), will max any game that comes out for the next 2 years at LEAST.

    Not everyone is computer savvy.

    Anyway. Yes, dual graphics cards possibly will create a bottleneck. The graphics card you currently have set is is good. I don't have all of those games to test out my system to see if you could go cheaper. Maybe I'll check out Crysis when I have the time since i have that one, but 2 gb as far as GPU goes is just fine. Those specs are really good and should run all of those games no problem. And I suggest going to newegg.com for parts if you aren't looking there.. They are really good and usually you can get cheaper parts and things like that. Just a matter of searching around for the best deal.

    Thanks. Since so many people Say the GTX 690 Is Amazing and i have the money for it Then why not :) But I'll be sure to look around for the best prices! :thumbsup: So many People said when making a PC they used To much of a graphics card and there Processor Couldn't Catch up to it which then = Not working. But thankfully That wont Happen!

    Well the cheaper you can get the parts the better. It will allow you to improve more crucial parts of the system. Or if you already have what you need, fancy your system up a bit to get a nice display. What do you plan on doing exactly as far as a monitor? Do you plan on also doing dual monitor at all? (I suggest you do if you plan on doing things like videos and stuff like that. I use dual monitor and I love it)

    I Made me a little "spending limit" On Screens etc. In the choosing section i Selected The Dell S2230MX, 21.5 Flat Panel monitor. I have had a duel Monitor set up before And it was Very nice. But a friend Did it for me. I know how to hook one Up but sadly i don't know where to start when buying them. Oh and the limit i have is at least $500-$700 Spending limit On Extras AKA screens, mouses, keyboards, Yea. But i would love Duel monitor.

    PS well i have not hooked one up in 3 years but hey...I'll figure it out :thumbsup:
