    Have you heard of Survivors?

It's a co-op game which looks a lot like Slender the game .

It's basically the same thing. Find notes while a monster is chasing you.

So, what I wanna say is .. it would be great to see a Slenderman game where you can either play as Slenderman, or the little girl he chases who I call Alice.

The idea would be, you play with a friend. And you get randomly selected and you either become Slendy or Alice. And the player who controls Slendy would have to find and dowhateveryouwant to Alice before she collects -insertrandomnumberhere- pages or whatelse.

The thing in this game is, Slendy would have unnatural vision, or very unclear vision, which varies with the distance to Alice.

And Alice, she would be unchanged, the normal little girl Slendy chases in all the first Slender game.

So, how about it? Would it be good enough?

A game where you play as a monster such as Slendy is pretty uncommon I think.

Any of your ideas? Opinions and such?
  • I think that completely destroys the fun of slender. It can't be a horror game when you're the monster. Also all you do is walk around and follow some girl AI? lawl.

And survivors blew. Working men with giant wrenches... screaming horrible AI ugly looking wolf... glitchy game. OH AND THOSE HORRIBLE CONTROLS.

The flashlight didn't even move up or down ffs!

  • I was hoping this would be a thread deterring the "Slender" games from continuing development. Perhaps they'd change their minds and make something unique for a change? I'll admit it, I played the first one quite a bit. I had a knack for it. And Faceless looks to be a pretty neat take on it. But, all these variations aren't doing good for the community. The first Slender was fun. Being a fan of Marble Hornets and everymanHYBRID, it intrigued me. But, after all these new "maps" and new games claiming to be scary and original, it's just not working anymore.

Slenderman used to be a terrifying idea, before the huge conveyor belt of indie games. Now it just seems like they're churning out the same moosh over and over again. The same crappy engine, the same crappy model. Nothing new to the table, just, "Oh, now it's in a school or something." I'd rather have games like Grey, even with the typical "oh no, i'm crazy" plot throughout. To me, the atmosphere is always what scared me. That's what these games were supposed to be about. Instead, it's like playing hide and seek, and you always know the outcome so it no longer scares. You just have to make sure you aren't in the room with hi...OH NO, I LOST AGAIN.

Now, let's see how many kids post in this thread and say, "Haha, cool thread bro, check out my video of me playing Slender!"

To stay on topic, I'll give you this as a proper response: The idea your game has isn't a bad one, I just don't agree that it should be Slenderman. It'd be very hard to pull off and it would ruin the entire suspense (what's left of him anyway) of Slendy. If you want a game where you are the monster/killer/ghost character, that would be a nice idea. Have it randomly select 1 out of 4 people and have that person play the evil role. Interesting enough, you could have different tools, different things at your disposal: On the spot jumpscares, sounds, footsteps, throwing things around the room, rearranging furniture to freak people out. In fact, a poltergeist game sounds more interesting. Have people lost in a nightmarish place and have them run through a set of goals to finish the game, without dying or becoming affected by your scary tricks. Meanwhile, you do everything in your power to scare their insanity levels down to nothing. It'd have to be chock full of good traps and random effects to keep it fresh, though.

If someone did that and made it plausible, fun, and terrifying on the people moving around the map - It would be a great game.
I could give you a good example of a game like this: The Hidden (Source).
This game let one random person be the invisible escaped experiment, and he hunted down the other 2-10 players. It was terrifying to be one of those players because you never knew when the subject would jump out at you and slit your throat or stick you to a wall and let you bleed out. Seeing your friends' bodies fly around makes you run and spray bullets all over the place. Pretty crazy stuff. But scary. And fun at the same time. See? That type of game can be done. Just don't let it be Slenderman. It won't be scary anymore. Can you imagine Slenderman crouching down on your dead character's face and "teabagging" you after he's killed you while laughing over the voice chat? Suddenly It's not scary anymore.

    - PS: I wasn't insulting you for your post, this was more a slightly off-track rant about how things have been going in the Slenderman community as of late.

Sharky come on, atleast suggest something more original. Slenderman is getting raped in all ways with all the shitty games out there.

Just change slenderman into a pedo and the girl into a loli. And you have something way more original and startling then the overhyped bullcrap.

Instead of voting you down like a jerk, I'll just glare at you for 5 minutes. OK, starting now.

You do know its a beta right..?

You know that they ripped the original slender game open and replaced stuff right? Wouldn't even play the completed version even if my life would depend on it. I wouldn't even call it an alpha.
