Webcams for Facecam
kurisu7885 - - Help
PostQuote from Starkosaurus: “Do you record your voice and facecam separate or is it for syncing face+voice with gamefootage?” I record my voice and facecam together and then do my best to time it with the game footag.e Only game I been having issues with is Kerbal Space program, but that's naother story. I start up Facecam, start the game, do a countdown ,then begin recording the game.

As the title says, I woudln't mind doing some recording with others in some multiplayer games. I'm on both PC and PSN. Since the PSN one is unlikely, I'll list some of my multiplayer games on Steam. Dead Island Garry's Mod Left 4 Dead 2 [I have the first one, but since 2 has all the campaigns now....] Portal 2 Killing Floor [wasn't much fun by myself] Red Faction :Guerilla Terraria Minecraft Torchlight 2 I also have Just Cause 2 but nto the multiplayer mod. Webcams for Facecam
kurisu7885 - - Help
PostSo I'm learning editing, and have already more or less mastered doing Facecame, though I need to get the audio syncing down, so advice o nthat is appreciated. I'm using Sony Movie Stdio Platinum Suite 12 Anyway, my current camera is a Logitech C250 I bought a few years ago. I'm curious if that's at least adequate or if it's worth it to invest in a new one, and if so, which.

Well, after re reading the guide, I feel justified in deleting takes I'm not happy with, as if you don't like it, others probably won't. Still trying to see if I can get soem good channel art. Maybe it's as good a time as any to learn GIMP.

Sony Vegas being screwy.
kurisu7885 - - Help
PostQuote from karlsanada10: “.sfk means it is used in Sony Vegas like a preview or something. You can actually highlight your vids on the timeline. Double click will highlight thewhole video.” Well, I found a fix for the particular issue I was having, whic hwas n osound showing up for my game footage. However, a new problem has cropped up. I can't quite get my facecame footage into the corner. When I get it close to the corner it begins to cut off.

Sony Vegas being screwy.
kurisu7885 - - Help
PostSo I wised up and decided to give Sony vegas a try. However I'm running into a problem. I can put my webcame footage in and it behaves perfectly. However once I put my game footage in, when I hit play it plays for maybe a milisecond and that's about it. Weirder is when I try it some sort of .avi.sfk file forms in the folder where the footage is stored. I figure this might have something to do with it being a trial edition, but I want to be sure. And weirdly this problem is no longer cropping up …

Recording echo.
kurisu7885 - - Help
PostThat explains why so many wear headphones. I still need to mess with levels to minimize background noise though. So far so good on that.

Recording echo.
kurisu7885 - - Help
Postso I got a new studio condenser microphone in the mail, a CAD U37. It's doing awesome so far ansis a vast, VAST improvement over the cheapo Logitech Rock Band mic I had been using. However, I'm noticing a slight echo when I watch the footage I recorded from a game. I'm assuming that that's why a lot of Let's Player use headphones, plus post editing.
