Okay, i started rendering and uploading my videos threw vegas clicking the "upload to youtube" because when i render my video normally when it is done rendering and i go to youtube to upload it and it says its a veg file? When i just got done rendering my mp4 file to a wmv. What em i doing wrong? Why when i render my video do i later find out its a veg file? I think its because i save the project before i render it..? idk can someone help? it would be greatly appreciated.

This might seem like a stupid question but why should i render in sony vegas? Like what does it really do? And i rendered my project in vegas and then when i went to upload it to youtube from vegas it rendered it again? Took me like 3 hours to finally get my video onto youtube. Can anyone help me out? Should i just click upload to youtube when im done whatever im doing? Because rendering it seems kinda stupid if i have to render it again when i try and upload it.

I FOUND OUT WHAT IT WAS!!! i just messed around in my hd pvr settings for 5 minutes and realized that for some reason vegas wasn't picking up on the sound from M2TS files, but as soon as i switched it to MP4 it was fine. I got my sound back, thanks so much guys for the help! :))

I'm sure its right infront of my face but i just got sony vegas pro 12 in the mail, i activated it and all. Everything went smooth, but as soon as i dropped in a video to edit i can't hear anything. I clicked a mute button to see if it was that but nope. I don't know what it is can anyone help? I have no audio coming out of my speakers when i preview my video my sound on my computer is all the way up. But still nothing.
