Sony Vegas 12 has a tendency to crash a lot. I recommend you to switch to Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5 or up.

Most of the time I've experienced disappointment in games that had such great beginnings. Like the Max Payne games. (the 3rd one is a huge let down for me) But I've played some games that I didn't think of much, like Fable - The Lost Chapters(I ended up playing and finishing it about 4 times in a row), then there's the Total war series(I didn't really like strategy games, but when I started to play Medieval II I got hooked on it and now I own almost all the the Total war games).

Well I can suggest the standard procedure: reinstall the video driver and if that doesn't help try reinstalling windows. And if the problem still persists then I'm afraid your video card might be damaged.

I suggest you format your HDD and reinstall windows.

I would advice learning to use Adobe premiere pro, since it does the same things, but doesn't crash as much. Nothing much more to add, it would be good if you have a good PC so that the graphics of the games and the quality of the videos is good. (I recommend 720p video quality, since 1080p just takes up too much space and it's still a very good quality)

Fraps has a box you can uncheck for it not to record your mic. If you're having echoes I suggest buying a better mic and about the cuts that might be a problem with the internet. (your or your friends internet or both)
