    Hmm... a tough one. I would go with "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney", because of the gameplay and the soundtrack, not the protagonist (I don't shout OBJECTION! in people's faces)

    I wouldn't use the word cliché... it's more like steriotypes. But yeah, I agree they are everywhere the entire gaming universe is built on stereotypes - the health bar, power-ups, score, multiple lives, mini-maps, mini-games, zambiez, loading screens, onscreen virtual joystick... Quite honestly though, "clichés" alone aren't what ruins the game experience, it's their abuse or improper use in games - when they are just slapped in there for no apparent reason. One could argue that in-game GUI wind…

  • Haha, that's actually not a bad game, once you get the hang of it (and change some settings). I imagine it would be much easier to play with a gamepad... once they add that. Tip: Use the TPS camera mode (in the level checkbox or press C twice in-game)

    Starbound is fun, but it must be played in multiplayer. You can achieve a lot without having to place a single block, it's very adventure oriented and has a very sophisticated content generation algorithms - there are NPC towns, dungeons and a whole lot of random stuff like space pirates and pokemon capturing (alien pods). The downside, it requires some initial grinding for coal before you can go adventuring, and if you want to advance to more difficult places you have to grind materials to buil…

    +1 Dust is an amazing game, one of the best indie games I've seen. I highly recommend playing it in your free time. Having said that I don't think it will make good videos - the story is important and makes for a lot of the experience (you can't just skip over it and make justice to the game) and the game mechanics don't really interact in silly ways.
