All those capture card just record console what i know(Can be completely wrong about this), if you want to record PC with a capture card you need some thing like this

I think you have changed your options wrong... do default settings and then try to just higher the brightness abit for bit

You will need a editing program to add both videos together, and if its too dark make your screen brighter
