Most of exposure on YouTube is who you know and luck. I managed to get 1600 subs and I started this past November. I know a semi-famous LPer and he has helped me out a bit as well. You just gotta be diligent. If you come off as annoying, most people aren't going to want to sub to you. Even today i hate promoting myself and such. Just have fun with it.

I feel kind of bad for the people that put a lot of work into their channels and don't get hardly any subscribers and some do. It's all a matter of luck and such I guess.

Id honestly say invest in a microphone-boom stand (like one a DJ would have) so that way you can sit comfortably and have the mic right in front of your mouth as you're commentating. Honestly, I have the pop filter right against the mic and I have my face right on the pop filter when I commentate and I have no problems.

I made videos and wasn't annoyingly plugging my channel into everything and begging for likes and subscribers. I started in November of last year with hardly any. Now it's almost August and I have over 1600.

If you have haters you're doing something right. Even them disliking your videos and commenting Iid helping you out in the long run. A view is a view. I have a troll who makes it necessary to dislike every single one of my videos as soon as they go up. Haters are just insecure people who are either jealous and/or have to make themselves feel better by downing others.
