I don't use Sony Vegas anymore but I did :P. I got 1080 full hd clips for about 500-700mb. Under gigabyte is just good. But the file it's going to be rendered is WMV. Other stuff I remember is: Go to file---> Properties--->Templates (dropdown menu) And you select the stuff from there which you probably did.
