Good Gaming PC Specs?

PostB75 motherboard. Yes, he can get a B75 motherboard + i7-3770 CPU. I'd go for HDD than SSD though. SSD is good for loading times and boot times. But it lacks the Space. WDC Black is one heck of a beast HDD. It's really really fast.

PostIf you could get a 7970 Boost, it would be really really good. Is this all for gaming or 3D rendering? If you have to do 3D rendering, get a Nvidia card, their CUDA cores will help a ton to lessen the rendering time.

^Damn nice PC you got there! @All: ATI sucks? Really? Haha. With the newest update on their drivers. It improved a lot. LIKE A LOT. techspot.com/review/603-best-graphics-cards/ I don't have any problems with it either. It has OpenCL which is a lot better than CUDA in terms of video rendering. 25mins video @ 720p renders @ 7mins with i5-2320 + Sapphire HD 6950. I won't bash the new Nvidia cards but I read that the 5xx beats them on rendering.

PostThere is a flaw. Your motherboard and CPU is not a good combination. H61 cannot overclock your CPU which is UNLOCKED CPU since it has K. You can go with Z77 mobo so you can take advantage of it. If you're not going to overclock. Just get a B75 motherboard since it's the new H61 motherboard. then take i7-3770 without the K then add the extra funds to a better GPU. You can also downgrade your Powersupply to 600w and above.

PostNot really. Do you have someone who's also using your internet? How fast is your speed? speedtest.net Try it out there, close all tabs and everything that can affect your internet speed. Post the results here. If you use an ethernet cable. The modem will just prioritize your PC than those who have wi-fi.:)

Rendering.

PostWhen you record something, it's lossless quality. Rendering basically means that they are being compressed to small files.:) Realtime isn't really needed. When you render, your CPU automatically goes all out on all of its cores.

Let's say it would last for 3-4 years until a new console comes out. Consoles hinder graphics development actually. Anyways, it sucks if you will only use 1 monitor for 690.-.- That's is stupid actually. 690 is meant to be played on 3 monitors to see its full potential. Get 680 or 7970 if you're gaming 1 monitor only. There are monitors with 1440p but it also costs a lot.:))
