I like my Blue Snowball, it was cheap and a huuuuge upgrade from my original microphone. However, once I can afford it I will probably get a Yeti with a proper pop-filter.
It's rough, I've certainly had people give me "that look" when I tell them I'm doing YouTube videos daily. It's not a problem just for us small guys either. I recently saw a video by Phillip DeFranco (who is nearing 3 million subscribers on his main channel) lament about how people react when he or his girlfriend tell new people about his job.
The future is an exciting place to imagine! I honestly think we'll see the early versions of things like full VR, life extension, personal 3D printer (and with it a huge blow to factory manufacturing) and open source projects within the next 25 years.
I mostly use Dxtory, the multiple audio tracks is just awesome for easy audio editing. Had some trouble setting it up with Amnesia though so had to use Fraps for that one.
I was supposed to write my thesis, so naturally I thought of other things to do. I've always loved gaming, and been a fan of many gaming channels so I decided to try my hand at making my own. Had a rocky beginning with a crap mic and such, but I think it's getting better!
youtube.com/user/ManChildKart I'm a Swede who play great games every day, and have fun doing it! Currently playing Wind Waker, Baldur's Gate and Shadowrun Returns but I have some finished series too like The Walking Dead and SimCity. I also do weekly first impressions of new and upcoming games, and I love hearing from my subscribers!
