  • YouTube or Twitch

I say start on YouTube also and then move over to Twitch. A great feature of Twitch is that it let's you grab Highlights from the game you just finished streaming which can be edited and uploaded to YouTube. So if something amazing happens on Twitch you can always port it over to YouTube.

  • What game system do you prefer?

I was always a console player and preferred Xbox 360 but own most consoles that have come out in the past 10 years w/the exception of the WiiU. That being said I made a PC about a year ago and it's slowly becoming my system of choice. I always used Mac as my computer but hardly touch the thing since I've made my PC. I'm getting the XBone but not sure if I'll play anything on it besides COD 37 and whatever exclusives look cool.

  • Hey guys, I made a quick tutorial to show you how to use a $3 Elmer's Tri-Fold Display as a green screen while you're streaming or in your videos. This comes in handy if you want to get rid of that annoying cam border in your streams or horror game vids and it's super cheap. Hopefully this helps you out.

Quote from VatiWah: “Ah. I got hit as well. Kinda strange. The video was fine for a few days, then it got hit. But I will leave it matched, since im not monetizing it anyways.” Don't let these assholes win, it just gives them more of a reason to go after small channels when they have no right to claim in the first place.

  • Quote from MrArtificialPlayer: “Okay thanks guys, and scottlbg which settings do you use on handbrake? Thanks” When you load the file into handbrake it'll show as whatever you recorded it as, I always just keep it like that, so either 1080 or 720, just click the MP4 option and always click the "large file" box if the file is big or it will not render right.

  • Older Games that you still play??

COD4 and TF2 regularly, I have TONS of 360 games still sitting in shrinkwrap that I never got around to play, waiting until they're "retro" lol

  • I second Handbrake, it's an amazing compressor and completely free. I convert most of my .AVI to .MP4 and lose hardly anything.

  • Hey everyone, hope it's ok I posted this here, I figured I'd post this in case anyone missed it. The new Humble Bundle is out and has a bunch of really great games like Mark of the Ninja, Trine 2 and Brutal Legend for cheap.

IDG Germany is a known YouTube troll, they hit me with a Content ID for my Last of Us let's play. I disputed it and two days later it was cleared up. More than likely it's just a small section they're claiming right? I saw something on Reddit about this too. I'd dispute it if I were you, will probably win.

  • Nice responses everyone, definitely has me stoked to play both. Does AAMFP continue after AADD? I never finished the first one and kinda want to jump right into AAMFP.

Quote from Piggeh: “For me it's Halo 3. It's not like when everyone went to Reach, but I just stopped eventually.” I still haven't finished Halo 3 and don't plan to until Halo 2 Anniversary comes out and I play that...which means I still haven't played Halo 4 even though I bought it on launch day

  • My first dream was to be an assassin like Storm Shadow from GI Joe, but then I realized that was unlikely since, well I'd be murdering people for money. My early teens I wanted to be a gynecologist for obvious reasons but then I found out I'd be looking at those obvious reasons for the WRONG reasons. And now I dream of being a full time YouTuber, but until that becomes a reality I'll just work my 9-5

  • This question is for everyone that's played or watched lp's on these two games, which did you prefer more? I know they're both new and you may still be playing them, but I'd like everyone's opinion. I have both and I'm deciding on which to play first.

The only way you'd be able to do this is if you had your own server to run the prophunt mod on, or found an empty server, which would be hard since prophunt is becoming more popular. Setting up a server for Source based games is easy as long as your machine can run it and you have a router with enough ports. You can always rent a server too, depending on how many people you want to be able to play you can probably get one for around $10 a month. Here's a link on how to set up a Source server. wi…

I agree, I've had the money 3 times to buy it and every time I can't do it.. consumer version will be much better and 1080p. Every bone in my body wants to play TF2 in virtual reality but at the end of the day, $300 is a lot for an unfinished product.

  • Sound/Video are two of the most important aspects of a YT video, I'd suggest saving up a little more and getting a Yeti or Snowball, if you make it big they'll pay for themselves in the long run. That being said if you can't afford them and need something now I'd use a basic mic or iphone headset and use Audacity to clean up the noise, it can work wonders. I have a Snowball and still use normalize/compress/noise reduction in Audacity.

  • I have a Death Adder Black and I loved it, only problem is I used it on my Mac before I built a PC, used it to set the new PC up and then once I installed Win 7, BOOM.. wouldn't work anymore. I reinstalled drivers and os numerous times and nothing. Razer support wouldn't do anything even though it was less than 90 days from purchase, probably less than 30 if I remember correctly... Moral of the story, be careful what you buy.

  • Very nice tut.. thanks for the info.
