Thank you to everyone who has replied! I figured it out. I use an AT2020 condenser mic, so I was wondering how to filter out the white noise. Turns out I was just using Audacity improperly. Thank you all I love this community... everyone is such a bro.

Balance your sound: The whole point of a commentary is the commentary, so either lower the game audio during the recording process, or record your commentary and the game audio on separate tracks and level them post-recording. 2.) I have an AT2020 USB Microphone, deskmount, shock mount, and pop filter, but the mic still pics up EVERYTHING. there's ambient noise even when the room is totally silent. Can anyone help me out?
