    If you are looking to convert files to smaller files AFTER editing, i would suggest Handbrake. Its a free program, and very easy to use, but i am not sure what the outcome would be. Another program is Camtasia. That program is fantastic for editing, screen recroding (Not games), but its also good for converting small files. Just drop it in and select "HD for Youtuve" And uncheck maintain aspect ratio. When the rendering is done, it should be alot smaller! Hope that helps
