  • Hey everybody, been quite a while since I last posted here - however, I just wanted to plug the second episode to a series a friend and I are working on, Outlast Abridged episode 2. Like any other abridged youtube series, this one follows the same idea where it simply parodies what is going on in the original story. What we would like to do with future episodes, however, isn't something we're all to familiar with, but are willing to give a shot. We'd like to collaborate with other youtubers on, …

Unfortunately, I am not an artist - but I'm just a tad OCD and like to do new things and keep myself busy. For the holidays, I painted a couple of guitars two of my favorite things: Silent Hill and The Last of Us. Initially, I did these just as practice. Around three years ago, I gave my niece spare acoustic of mine and she's since wanted to move on to electric. Rather than just giving her another hand-me-down, I wanted to make it special. So, I decided to paint it her favorite colors and put he…

  • Slugs by DauenAkaliko - Hear the world’s sounds This is a subtle example of what I am going for. A friend and I did this today. It's kind of like The Last of Us theme meets Nine Inch Nails. Just odd and nothing is the same style, but it works.

  • Right on SamF, I definitely appreciate the love SoulSmiles, love strings, love cellos, we could work with that for sure. Vocals is always an option as well. I'm gonna see where this thread goes and we'll go from there! Anybody that wants to be involved will be involved.

  • Honestly, for a school project its pretty much perfect/where it needs to be. If I were to give just personal suggestions; maybe some subtle, quiet instrumental in the background to keep the energy up. Also, with the voiceover, you did great. You didn't mumble and you projected, but I'd suggest is you use a pop-filter (or a higher quality one) because there were a few pops and mouth noises (sorry, former radio student). But again, for what it is now in its present form, you did a great job man.

  • Calling out for musicians of all kinds to participate in a fun project. Just as the title says, I would like to throw together a song comprised of musicians from across the world using the most naturally incompatible instruments we can get our hands on. What I mean by that is; a song with a banjo, theremin, and conga drums - a metalcore song with a didgeridoo breakdown - (and while I'd rather not, though it'd be funny) gangster rap with ukeleles and mandolins - all just examples of course. Since…

Everything I've seen looks like its had quite a few hours of work put into them....” having a bootleg copy of sony vegas or being in college does not automatically make you a newcomer/not as skillful. I have a bootleg of sony vegas and am starting fresh again in a new college but the difference is that i have 10 years exp (…

  • There are a lot of really good entries here. Everything I've seen looks like its had quite a few hours of work put into them - hours on youtube and in editing. I can also tell there are a lot of newcomers here. For the newer editors, the kid with a bootleg copy of Sony Vegas or the dude in his third year of college wanting to go a different way with his education - whoever - if you have any general questions on how to get up to par or feel like you've hit a wall, please feel free to message me. …
