  • Okay, I looked up everything I could about it. I disputed it, detailing that the video falls under fair use. (that is one of the options they let you choose from). It's an automated system that will apply the Content ID claim regardless of partnership rights or anything else. So, dispute it if you think you're right. that's the only way it'll get taken off. I'll report back once it clears so say how it went.

  • Quote from Shikieiki Yamaxanadu: “Have you spotted anything that might have triggered the claim at the specified time? You could try to re-upload the video and tamper a little bit around with it.” Well, considering it was a claim by THQ (they made or produced the game in question) I assume it has to do with the scene. But, there are several cutscenes before that one that they could claim. I WAS playing co-op at the time, and his phone went off. He had a song by an artist that was featured in the…

  • Third Party content claim

    Post

I was just about to make a thread about this, if we could possibly expand a little more into this topic I'd appreciate it. I just got a notification of one of my videos being matched for third party content. I read the details, my video is "available and playable". But I'm still a little confused. Your video is available and playable. Here are the details: Visual content administered by: THQ at 16:33 The video in question is my first lets play of Saints Row 3, and THQ is the company with the con…

  • I've always had a soft spot for Sandshrew. Always seemed like one of those pokemon who'd be really fun, effective, and overall awesome. Also! If you ever wanted to combine some pokemon, give this a go. pokemon.alexonsager.net/ So far my favorite was mixing first a cubone with sandshrew.

  • Dreams

    Asuba - - Real Life

    Post

I hear my friends talk about their wild and crazy dreams. It makes me a bit envious. I often feel like maybe my dreams aren't wild enough to remember most of the time, that or I just can't recall them as often. Anyway, let me share with you a scary dream I had a few years back. I found myself in a very large mansion. This mansion was well-kept and furnished. It had electricity, but the time period felt much older. I was attending a party at said mansion, and was mingling with the crowd that was …

  • Sagittarius here, and that description on the original post was surprisingly accurate. I'll never take a horoscope to heart though.

I got mine from when FFXI online first came out. I needed a name and decided to use one from a show I had been watching. While I'm almost absolutely certain I spelled it wrong, I've used this name for everything since a little after 2000. So if you ever saw an "Asuba" running around, it was probably me.

  • Question on partner

    Asuba - - Content Creation

    Post

So, this is stating that there is indeed a difference between monetizing with adsense and being a youtube partner. I'm a bit confused, as when I go to my video manager page, there's a note at the top that says I can become a partner, but when I open the "get started" button, it talks about google and adsense and whatnot. So my question is: What prompt should I be looking for from an actual partner program? Or is the link at the top of my video manager actually what I'm looking for? (doubtful, as…

  • Summer of 2013

    Asuba - - Real Life

    Post

It kinda sucks, but once you get older summer becomes less of a vacation and more of just a warmer part of the year. Working is definitely a bummer for summer, but having more cash and limited free time makes me try harder with the free time I do get. Currently it's very cold and snowy, so when summer comes around I gotta scramble and get my outdoor activities in before the end of fall.

Would I survive? Yes. Would I be happy? No. If anything I would miss being able to look up information I needed. Otherwise I have my consoles. Oh, and there's outside too. Can't forget about that.

  • Ever Stood Up To Bullying?

    Asuba - - Real Life

    Post

It's tricky, you can't treat all bullies the same. Verbal bullies are best ignored or killed with kindness (or tape recorded). mild physical bullies (light taps, irritating) are usually best dealt with by using just a bit more force in retaliation. That is, of course, after you ask them to stop first. (gotta give them a warning). I've never met a violent bully, never someone who made me feel like: "oh jeez, my life feels threatened". Best I could think of is to report immediately or avoid comple…

  • An' how to edit them

Well, thanks to a few hours of dinking around with all my options I feel that I've managed to learn enough with my software to make beginner lets plays. Hopefully it'll get better as I go. Will probably post in the appropriate area for feedback once I get it uploaded. Thanks Wobble for the input

Good to know, is there any version of sony vegas that's most recommended? At least for something like lets plays. I figure if you're buying the several hundred dollar version then you've got other things in mind for footage.

  • An' how to edit them

    Post

So, I've been looking through several threads to help point me to software that works best for me. I'm set for recording (so far), and now I'm looking for a bit of advice when it comes to video editors. I currently have a trial of adobe premiere and have heard throughout several threads that Sony Vegas Pro is their editor of choice. Now I'm sure I can get the hang of premiere if I give it some more time, it's just a lot to take in since I'm not used to such programs. So I suppose this boils down…

  • Fraps recording issue

    Asuba - - Help

    Post

I was hoping for a free version or something of the sort, but I downloaded a free trial and it appears to be up to version 11 *edit* I will gladly let you know when I get the video finished and uploaded. Unfortunately I jumped the gun a bit and have very little idea how to work video editing software. I'll be learning a bit before I can upload. If anyone knows their way around adobe premiere I could use some tips. Otherwise some more novice-friendly video edited software sounds very appealing.

Quote from GoGetA: “Like I said Home plays on a EXTREMELY small resolution. Put the video in Vegas or whatever video editor you use. Crop it so there is no black screen. Enlarge. Render. Upload.” Sorry, I didn't clarify. I did attempt to enlarge it. I quite literally get tetris shapes when the dialogue pops up. I do appreciate your input though, if anyone could recommend another solution? or at least a point in the right direction I would appreciate it.

  • Fraps recording issue

It plays full screen for me though. Unfortunately the resulting video is so small that all words are completely illegible. while looking around for some solutions I saw plenty of youtube videos with the game looking near perfect and they were using fraps. I've fiddled with some options but I can't seem to find the issue. If it's an isolated incident I'll probably cut my losses, but if this could be a reoccurring thing I'd like to find a way to fix it.
