I record facecam with Cyberlink and Gaming with Fraps ... Then i join both videos with Cyberlink

I just use the program i have on my computer for the webcam, then i'll just sync the video and facecam together :3

i use my simple voice, "starting game" and such.

Actualy camtasia studio is good for recording screen and camera together and edit afterwards although it works only with games that go windowed

Personally, I use WMM (Facecam) and HyperCam (video)
Then I edit them together in Pinnacle.
The whole process (game, and everything) takes about 20 mins.

Recording a face cam is just a webcam video.

The "facecam" itself on a youtube video is something you do by using a layers function within an video editing program. You just put your webcam footage on a layer that is on top of your gameplay footage so they overlap.

Then you just have to scale the size and move the position of your webcam footage to where you want it. I would just look up a tutorial for whatever editing program you plan to use.

As for syncing. The way I sync my webcam footage and my gameplay footage is by snapping my fingers right in front of my webcam right when I press F9 to start recording gameplay with fraps. Then I just go to the webcam footage, find where I snapped (it usually shows up as a very thin and distinct vertical line in the audio track) and trim all the footage on my webcam before I snapped. Then I line up the beginning of the gameplay footage with the point where I snapped (which is the new beginning of my webcam footage). Takes about 10 seconds to line it up.

So I record facecam with Windows Movie maker, as Pewds does. But is it better to record with a program which is built on system? For instance, I have Lifeframe.

So which program has the best FPS?

I have iMovie, but usually there should be a setting that has picture in picture. Have you tried that?

Hey! to record facecam with gameplay you need to select the webcam option in windows movie maker and press record. Then open up your game and when your ready count down and start fraps. The best program to put those clips together is to get camtasia studio 8 you can download it for free! hope this helps!

I record video/audio with Screenflow when I'm playing non-console games.

For console gaming I use my Hauppauge HD PVR 2 and record my commentary with Audacity.
