I used to play The Last Door, until they made 80% of the franchise a pay-and-play subscription.
It was pretty much the best pixel horror game ever. The BGM and Title music were .
The game was very Victorian, creepy and there were no cheap jumpscares, just lots of mind-fucks.
The only other pixel game which came close to deliver the kind of horror 'The Last Door' provides is the 'Deep Sleep' series.
